Wondering For Months

In the night their Airplanes took off.

There were total 5 Airplanes in which there were 17 teams of people who were going to search in the desert.

Not all of them were going to make it to the desert since there are many zombie birds and creatures that will attack them on their way.

They had already prepared more than 2months of food and water supplies in every Airplane so as not to die from hunger and a lot of weapons and armors.

After few hours of flight they encountered a horde of zombie birds which was killed easily.

They captured some of the miasma released by the zombie birds and trapped it in a container then they loaded the container in a rocket launcher and waited.

When they were attacked by another horde of birds they they launched the container far away and the zombie birds followed the container leaving the Airplanes alone and since the container was made of special metals it didn't break even when it fell from such a height.

The birds tried hard to break the container but they couldn't, at that time another more powerful zombie came and ate the whole container.

His teeth were so strong that the container break in one bite and the miasma came out, the mutated zombie absorbed it and the other zombies had to leave without getting any miasma.

They used the same trick with the future hordes of zombie birds, capture miasma, load and launch when another horde appears.

They were able reach half way to the Sahara desert easily until they encountered the more evolved zombie bird which was 6 or 7 times bigger than a normal eagle.

It was so fast that it destroyed one of their Airplane, the moment it collided with the Airplane.

Everyone started shooting at the bird but nothing worked, soon another group of zombie birds showed up and attacked the Airplanes.

They tried to capture some birds and launch their miasma but when they collect the miasma, the big bird attacks them destroying 3 out of five Airplanes but they were able to launch one container of miasma before the Airplane was destroyed distracting the big bird and the horde.

Now only 7 teams were still alive on the Remaining 2 Airplanes.

The Airplanes were working but one of the Airplane's engine was starting to smoke and they knew it won't last long, rick and his team were in this Airplane.

Although the Airplane was not in good condition, they didn't stop until they reached the desert, team leaders on the Airplane decided to go with their initial Airplane and search the desert separately.

Rick and his team entered the desert from ground with other two teams, while the other Airplane and the remaining 4 team were searching from skies but they were going to contact the other teams if they see anything just to make sure everyone is alright.

The pilot and mechanic were left in the Airplane In order to fix it, but they were not left unprotected there were some rocket launchers and other weapons with half of their food supply, since rick and others can't roam in the desert on foot there were vehicles.

They searched for days and months but didn't find anything, in the first few days they lost contact with the Airplane and four teams on it, so they went to look for clues on what happened with the Airplane and the teams on it.

The last message they received from it was "We Need Back Up I Repeat We Need Back Up There Is A Mutant Zombie In The Desert And it Is Most Likely A High le-AHHHHH" before they could tell more most likely they died.

When they reached the last known location of the Airplane it was easy to spot, since there was black smoke coming from its engine but other than a big hole in the center of the Airplane and the zombies around the Airplane they couldn't spot the mutated zombie.

"move with caution and be wary of your surroundings, try to kill those zombies as quietly as possible and don't use guns unless you see the mutated zombie"

everyone did what he ordered them to do and they reached the Airplane while killing the zombies.

Once they entered the Airplane there was blood and flesh on the ground they divided in in two "team one go to the cockpit and team two search the Airplane and look for any survivors team three secure the resources" said the leader.

Rick and his team searched the toilet and secured the resources when they were done loading first batch of resources they heard a cry from inside the Airplane "KRAAA~" and soon they saw one of the team two member's body flew out of the Airplane's broken window.

Rick used his communication device to check what's happening and no one responded so he decided to not go inside, and take the vehicle a bit far away they then kept a close eye on the Airplane from afar but only the mutated zombie came out of the Airplane.

After roaming around he went away, rick and his team then decided to go near the Airplane and see what happened.

Rick wasn't an idiot and he knew that guns and even missiles don't work on high level mutated zombies they can at most annoy them but not harm them.

Rick had gone through a big mental change in this apocalypse world and he knew that his top priority is to stay alive even if others want to save humanity and reclaim the world from zombies he wasn't interested in any of it although he does want a peaceful world but sacrificing his life for it is too much to ask from him.

Rick knew that he cant abandon the mission so he kept searching for that one place where it all started while being extra cautious.

They had enough supply to keep all the members of his group and the other two people alive for 5months.

But rick was only going to keep this up until the Airplane is ready because its the only way out since there is only mountains trees and sea around them.

His hope of getting out of here alive were crushed when one day another mutated zombie came to the Airplane, killed the pilot and destroyed some parts of the airplane.

But the worst happened when the mutated zombie attacked rick and his crew.

Alicia died and Paul was hurt badly so rick used smoke and sound bomb he saved for emergency on the zombie which gave him enough time to run in desert he wanted to go towards the forest which was far away from his location and so he decided to go to the sea which was near, only 56miles away first then move towards forest.

But his luck wasn't so good and the car he was using stopped working.

He tried to fix it but he never learned to fix a car and he recently learned how to drive properly.

So he had no choice but to carry Paul on his back and walk to get out of this desert.

After walking for a few hours he was exhausted and took a short nap in the desert, when he woke up, he realized that he don't know which direction to go to.

He forgot the compass in his bag which he left in the car when he started walking.

After a while he just chose a direction by guessing and started moving but even after 2 days he reached nowhere and soon he saw some moments in desert but he couldn't see clearly and when he saw a green thing appear in front of him he just gave up and fell asleep.

After some time when he woke up he looked around and saw a branch coming out of the ground and forming a human like figure.

Rick was shocked to say the least but more than that he was afraid, because the thing in front of him was unknown and unknown could be dangerous.

Soon he heard a voice "hello human I am what you call 'earth' and I know you are in great shock and fear but don't be afraid I hold no ill intention towards you"

"what the heck is going on I'm sure I fell unconscious after seeing that green thing and.... now I'm hallucinating? Maybe that thing was also hallucination,..." said rick.

Rick heard the voice again "i can assure you that this is not a hallucination human".

'w-what do you mean its not hallucination.... how can I talk to earth and how can my surrounding change so much in such a short time I'm sure that I was in the desert just a while ago and then I fell asleep when I saw that green thing.." said rick and he again started to thing what happened.
