Chapter 6 - Encounter with Todoroki Shouto

It seemed Todoroki Shouto was waiting for his turn. Akira went over there quickly and joined the line.

"You like this book,too?" Todoroki asked when he saw the book she was holding.

"Yeah, I mean I prefer ones without quirks doing everything. Maybe it's because I don't like how people think quirks are the most important thing.." She replied.

"You don't think quirks are the most important thing?"

Todoroki frowned at her reply.

"No. It's not like I hate quirks or something like that. It's just that I think people rely too much on quirks and forget to see other qualities of the person. I don't like they see a person as an extension of their quirk."

"I think you're interesting.." Todoroki commented quietly.

Akira chuckled at that. "Thanks, I guess."

At that moment, she got a notification from system.

*Congratulations! You completed a hidden mission, leaving an impression on Todoroki Shouto who is one of the main characters. Please choose an item: Healing potion, 3x charisma card, 3x intelligence card*

Akira was a bit surprised but didn't show it on her face. 'How does healing potion work?' She asked, only interested in that. As much as the other two sounded good, her priority is her own safety.

*It can heal 100% of your injuries as long as you're alive to use the potion. It is, of course, one time use like the other two.*

'I see. I'll take the healing potion then.' Akira said to the system.

*You got the Healing potion. It will be stored in system inventory along with the Stats boost card you got yesterday.*

'Okay.'

After replying to the system, she said to Todoroki.

"I'm Sasaki Akira. Nice to meet you!"

Todoroki seemed surprised at her sudden introduction but introduced himself , "I'm Todoroki Shouto. Nice to meet you, too..."

Before Akira could say anything else, it was Todoroki's turn. So, she could only say, "Hey, it's your turn now."

Todoroki nodded and paid for the book.

"I guess I'll see you around?" Akira quickly said before he left and he nodded.

Since it was her turn after Todoroki, Akira also paid for the books and left the store.

"Earlier, System said I left an impression on Todoroki. I wonder if I got some charisma points?"

Akira decided to check her stats.

"One whole point?"

Akira was amazed to get a point from the short encounter. But when she thought about it, it made sense. Todoroki had been treated as a masterpiece or a tool to use in order to beat All Might. All his life, his quirk had been the most important part of him and suddenly, she said otherwise. Maybe the fact that she said she didn't like how others see a person as an extension of their quirk hits a spot in Todoroki. It also must have something to do with him being one of the main characters in the story. Otherwise, she wouldn't get a whole point.

"It's only my second day and it's looking good so far." Akira thought happily,"That said, I still need to practice my skills. Where should I start?"

Akira walked in a leisurely pace while wondering how to practice her skills.

That's when she saw a place where Karate is being taught.

"Hm..that's not bad. I should go take a look."

As soon as she entered the building, she saw a boy her age.

"Hi, are you here to learn Karate?" He asked.

"I'm interested. How're the prices?"

"The monthly fees are 11,000 yen for once a week, 13,500 yen for twice a week and 16,500 yen for full time. The rental uniform is free."

Akira subconsciously grabbed her wallet and then realized she didn't have that much money in her wallet. She got some pocket money from her aunt despite being grounded but as she spent on buying books, she didn't have enough money.

"Sounds good but I forgot to bring money. So, I'll just have to come back later." Akira said.

Later that night, Akira was having dinner with Bakugo family and she decided to bring up learning Karate.

"Aunty Mitsuki, I'm thinking about learning Karate for self-defence. But, I don't have money to pay for it yet so..can I borrow some money?"

"You, extra, want to learn karate?" Katsuki huffed.

Mitsuki raised her eyebrows at that, "Are you sure you want to learn Karate?"

Akira nodded.

"How much is it?" Mitsuki asked.

Akira explained the prices to Mitsuki,"I want to learn full time." She added.

"I see. I can lend you 16,500 yen as long as you don't ignore your studies." Mitsuki said.

"Thank you, Aunty." Akira said with a smile.

"Right, Akira-chan, since you're going to transfer to Katsuki's school, keep an eye on Katsuki, will you?" Masaru said.

Akira was taken aback at first but then realized, 'Since I'm now the same age as Bakugo, I have to go to school. It makes sense that I go to the same school.'

"What do you mean keep an eye on me?!" Katsuki yelled. But, before he could finish his sentence, he was slapped in the head by Mitsuki.

"Pfft." Akira let out a laugh despite trying not to do so.

"What're you laughing for, damn extra!?"

"And that's why you need to keep an eye on him, Akira-chan. And, Katsuki, that behaviour is going to get you in trouble! How many times do I have to tell you!?" Mitsuki scolded Katsuki.
