Chapter 4 : MOTHERLESS CHILD

With another new partner with him, Zoar made it out of the Galgale Forest without seeing any other beasts as wild as the one that sent fear into Maurice and Ami. They had just left Galgale Forest and were just entering Dandilato.

"Whoa! It's so colorful here!" says Ami, running ahead of everyone.

"It's so damn colorful that I even look colorful," says Maurice, looking around.

"Ami, do you know where exactly she lives?" asked Zoar, as serious as ever.

"Oh, not now, but if we could stop by a restaurant I can pull my laptop out and see."

"What laptop?" asked Zoar.

"What else would be in this bookbag?" asked Ami, annoyed a little.

Zoar forgot she even had it on her.

"Umm, books?" answered Maurice.

"Maurice, I only just met you, but I can already tell you're an idiot." said Ami, following Zoar.

"I may be a little rusty but I ain't no Goddamn idiot, girl!" Maurice said catching up with them.

As they walked down the street they saw many shops and cafes.

"Hey Zoar, we need to find a restaurant, pronto! My stomach is about to eat my intestines!" said Maurice, gripping his gut.

"Fine." said Zoar with no remorse.

They found a restaurant quickly and entered it.

Its name was "The Dandilato Family Restaurant".

They walked in and sat at an empty table near the back. Ami pulled out her laptop immediately. Zoar sat next to heer and Maurice sat across from them, digging through the menu as they awaited a waiter or waitress.

"Damn, the internet reception is slow here, this might take a little while!" says Ami.

"As long as it works we're fine." says Zoar

"Man there's so many choices! Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Big Stack, or Dopper!? I can't decide!" Maurice says as saliva pours out of his mouth.

"Hello there! May I please take your orders?" a woman that appeared to be in her early 40's said as she held a small notepad and an ink pen.

"Yes ma'am, i would like a Dandilato Bacon Cheeseburger Supreme, with finely sliced cheese and toasted pretzel buns that leave a scent of joy in their tracks as they travel down the consumers throat... and a frostie cola too." Maurice says he closes his eyes.

"Oh um, okay..." said the waitress with an awkward smile.

"How about you young lady?" She turns to Ami with a bright smile.

"I would like a chicken sandwich meal with water, please." Ami says politely.

"Alright and you sir?" she asks, looking at Zoar.

"A glass of water."

"Oh, alright. I'll be back with your food after a while.

"Damn boy, do you not eat?" asked Maurice.

"I eat once a day, can't move fast if you're fat." said Zoar.

They sat and waited for the computer and the food. The food arrived and Maurice's aura went from bored to excited in half a second.

"Here's the food! Please enjoy! And I'll have your check after awhile!" said the waitress and she left.

Maurice began to bite into his food and a slight amount of disappointment went across his face.

"I forgot to say no mustard..." he said as he slowly chewed.

They all began to eat and Zoar drank his water then Ami's laptop made a noise.

"Oh, it's finally loaded!" said Ami.

Zoar immediately turned towards the laptop.

"Let's see Klara...Anor..." Ami was typing and then the laptop was loading again.

The waitress came back to the table.

"Alright here's the check!"

"Thank you ma'am, here I'll give you a tip!" said Maurice.

"Oh why thank you sir!"

"There we go!" said Ami.

She scrolled typed and clicked.

"Let's see what's here.... What!?" Ami suddenly jumped from her seat.

"What's wrong Ami?" Zoar looked at her.

Ami slowly lifted her hand and pointed at the waitress.

"Your Klara Anor."

The waitress turned to Ami, looking confused.

"Um, yes?"

Zoar's heartbeat suddenly stopped for a second.

"Klara... My name is Zoar. Zoar Malite." Zoar said standing up.

Klara's eyes went wide and she suddenly passed out, collapsing onto the floor.
