Chapter 28 : THE SHADOW CASTED UPON EARTH

"Blitray?" Zoar was confused.

He hadn't seen Blitray in what felt like weeks but was truly only 4 or 5 days.

"It's been a while Zoar," Blitray said.

"Wait, what do you mean he's sick?" Zoar asked, with confused eyes.

Blitray began his way towards Neal.

"When I first met your father, you see... I secretly infected him with one of my DARKNESS diseases. This one slowly builds up over a select amount of time I pick. It won't kill him though. He'll have this fever and will be paralyzed for 10 hours." Blitray said, looking down at Neal.

"Wha... you've met Neal before?" Zoar was beginning to get a headache from all the confusion.

"Yes, when he hired me to set you up." Blitray smiled.

"Set me... up?" Zoar was even more confused now.

"Yes, I am sorry, but... I'm not. You see, I followed you until you found your mother. I started back in that dump you found that teenage girl in. When you found Klara, I activated your magic. Neal hired me to do it. He wanted you to come here, Zoar. I followed you all to that little village where I infected Ami with a disease where she sleeps forever. But your father set most of it up. Unfortunately, I have ruined his plans... I, Arthimus Creevon shall rule over this disgusting planet!" Blitray started to laugh hysterically.

It was all a setup. Neal wanted Zoar to come here so he could kill him with his magic.

Blitray is the one who hurt Ami. That monster that haunted the village was probably one of Blitray's very own. Zoar saw it all as it was now, but who was Arthimus Creevon?

Suddenly a massive headache spawned within Zoar.

"AHHHH!!!" The headache squeezed his brain so hard it made him scream.

"Oh... it appears someone killed Cecil Graves. Eh. What you're feeling right now are all the memories he took from you. This gives me plenty of time!" Blitray smirked and walked away.

Zoar shut his eyes and continued screaming.

He started to see white lights.

Then it hit him.

The memories.

His childhood.

His mom.

Neal.

Krycella.

It was all back.

So much all at once.

Zoar couldn't help but replay the memories inside his head. He wanted to see them.

He wanted to feel them.

•••

"Looks like they might've fallen here!" Krycella leaned over the railing of the edge of the street.

She squinted her eyes to try and see down the opening in the trees.

She saw Zoar.

"Hey! I see Zoar!" Krycella called out to the others.

They came running to her.

"Where!?" Kasstia looked around in a panic.

"Right there!" Maurice pointed.

"Thank Cyrus..." Kasstia had tears suddenly come.

"Is that a ring on your finger!?" Maurice randomly shouted.

"Oh! I, uh... Yes! Zoar proposed to me last night! This isn't the time though! We need to get down there!" Kasstia said.

"Right!" Krycella and Maurice said together.

They started towards the stairs that lead down the street levels.

"Look!" Maurice pointed up into the sky.

"There's a man up there!" Maurice yelled.

"Maurice! We don't have- What the Hell!?" Kasstia said, now looking up with him.

"C'mon guys! We need to help Zoar! He looked hurt!" Krycella said, running down the stairs.

Kasstia and Maurice started down the stairs again.

•••

Zoar was still going through memories.

He was happy.

He could see Krycella as his sister again.

He saw himself getting slammed on the wall by Neal too, but it wasn't enough to disrupt his memory dream.

"Zoar!"

Deja vu.

Zoar heard his name being called.

"Zoar!"

It was Kasstia. His now fiance.

Zoar forced himself to wake up.

He opened his eyes and saw Kasstia, Krycella, and Maurice.

"I never thought I'd be happy to see you, Maurice," Zoar said.

"What the Hell does that mean!?" Maurice asked, throwing up a fist.

"Zoar!" Kasstia and Krycella latched onto him with a warm hug.

"Thank goodness your okay!" Kasstia said with a tear running down her face.

"Thanks... So who killed Cecil?" Zoar looked around at them.

His fiance. His sister. His best friend.

"I did! How'd you know though?" Krycella asked confused.

Zoar stood up and looked at her.

"Um..." Krycella was confused.

Zoar quickly wrapped his arms around her.

"My memories are back... little sister..." Zoar said.

Krycella was silent.

Then Krycella began to cry and hugged Zoar back.

"You remember me now!?" Krycella said with tears making it slightly understandable.

"Yes..." Zoar said releasing her.

"Hey, I hate to ruin the moment but I cant not worry about what that flying guy is doing!" Maurice said.

"Shit! That's Blitray!" Zoar said, picking up his sword from the ground.

"Blitray!?" Kasstia and Maurice said.

"Who's that?" Krycella asked.

"He used to be a friend..." Zoar turned to Kasstia and Maurice.

"Used to? What happened?" Maurice asked.

"Blitray works with Neal." Zoar looked at the spot Neal was lying but he was gone.

Zoar looked around and saw him crawling away across the street.

"Hey! Go get him, Maurice!" Zoar said.

"Huh!? That's Neal!?" Maurice ran after him and picked him up. He slung Neal over his shoulder and walked back to the group.

"Now you said  Blitray works with Neal!?" Kasstia asked.

"Yeah." Zoar looked up and could see a small dot in the sky.

"Looks like our fight isn't over either."

•••

Zoar and the group ran back up to the high street and looked up at Blitray.

"What's he doing!?" Maurice said, Neal still on his shoulder.

"I don't know..." Zoar said.

Blitray stood idol in the air.

Suddenly DARKNESS began to form in a sphere shape around him.

Tentacles came out and formed into thinner tentacle-like things.

The sphere got bigger and it started to float away.

It began to change colors and grow weird indents into it.

"That things getting pretty damn big!" Maurice said.

"It's starting to cast a giant shadow!" Krycella said.

The sphere became so big it blocked out the sun and it appeared to be night. The street lights came on. News Van's started pulling up to the high street.

Zoar was afraid of what would happen next.

He feared for his life.
