Chapter 5

Logan's POV

"D-don't t-touch m-me"

"P-please, d-don't h-hurt me. I'm begging you"

"Ahhh!"

"H-help!"

"D-don't ...."

The man got up from the bed and he was full of sweat.

'I'm having a nightmare ... again'

I checked the time on my cellphone and it's 4:30 in the morning. I stood up and took a towel. I was about to go to the bathroom to take a shower when I passed the table, and it was mess.

I walked over to my table and cleaned it first. I didn't put away the papers last night because I was tired.

After cleaning up, I went into the bathroom.

3 months ago, when I last dreamed what I dreamed earlier. This is the incident that I want to forget and I don't want forget. There were parts of the scenes that I forgot because of taking medicine.

I just close my eyes as I feel the water dripping down my head.

'Looks like I need to go home first to get medicine'

After showering, I went out and got dressed. I immediately went downstairs and found one of the assistants close to her.

'She was close to her'

"What's your name again?" I asked, as I went downstairs

"I'm Hilda" she replied

I nodded and get water to drink.

"Hilda, can you do me a favor?" I ask

"What is it, sir?"

"Can you wake up your friends and get ready now? I rented a resort for the maids. You need to relax.

"Pardon?"

"I asked Permission to Vianne's Mother and she said yes" I simply said

She hesitated to look at me

"You can call,Mrs. Griffin, if you want" I smiled at her

"Okay, I'll call Madame first and we'll get ready."

"Okay, Don't worry, just go on vacation today and you'll be back tonight "

She immediately nodded and walked to their room.

I just want the two of us today.

Why?

I'm curious why he's scared when I was close to her and why she doesn't want to be touch. I remember, when we first met she suddenly slapped me and I got bored there so I teased her when we were cooking dessert.

I opened the refrigerator and looked at what to cook.

I was shocked about yesterday when she shouted at me, but I just let it go, because I knew it was my fault. I held her, so she was angry but I was really worried about her.

I was busy cooking when someone called me.

"Sir, we're ready" said Hilda, next to her companions who were dressed and packed some things.

"Ohh, wait" I took the paper stuck to my book and handed it to Hilda

"You can do whatever you want to do there. I've reserved that so enjoy yourselves" I smiled

"Thank you, sir" said Hilda and they walked towards the door but a woman stopped in front of me and asked me, so they also stopped.

"Can I know, Sir, why you are doing this?" The youngest of them all asked me

"Josephine" Hilda called

"I'm doing this because I want to spend more time with her, to know her" I answer and I heard a scream, so I smiled

"Ahhh. Thank you for answering, Sir" she said and I nooded

I finished cooking and went to the garden to read to wait for her to come down.

I had just finished taking a shower when my cellphone rang

"Yes, Doctor?" I answered the call

"Vianne, I'll just send my driver the additional medicine you're going to take. I can't go there because there are many patients in the hospital now" said the Doctor on the other line.

"OK, I'll just wait here Doc." I said, and turned off the call

I just got dressed and went downstairs.

When I went down, I immediately saw that there was food ready on the table.

'Hilda must have cooked it'

"Shall we eat?" I jumped in shock when someone spoke behind me.

"You go first, I'm not hungry" I lied. The truth is.... I'm hungry.

"We should eat together even for now"

"I said, I'm not hungry " I said calmly. But my stomach is a traitor because it makes noise.

I heard his weak laugh. So I secretly looked at him.

"Hilda" I called my personal maid. I'll just want to ask her something, But no one answered

"Hilda" I call her again

"The maids aren't here" he said, Preparing dishes on the table

I ignored him and walked around the house while calling the maids. When I Realize that the maid is missing, I went back to the kitchen

"What did you do to the Maids?" I said nervously

"I gave them a vacation. They need to relax "

"What?! Why did you do that, huh?"

"Beacause I want to"

"When mom knows about this, she'll definitely get angry-"

"Your mom already know. She was the first to who agree when I ask permission."

I looked at him angrily but he just ignored it.

"Let's eat. I know you're hungry"

"Just eat here, alone!" I hurriedly walked to the bedroom and slammed the door shut.

I immediately called mom but she just decline it.I dialed again but mom didn't answer.

I would have called again when mom texted me.

"I can't answer your call right now. I'm in the middle of important meeting "

Annoyed, I stamp my foot on the floor.

Next, I called Dad but his phone turned off. I called again but the line was still off. I immediately threw the cellphone on the bed.

I'm still annoyed, so I plan to just lock myself in this room but I can't, because I'm so hungry.

When I arrived at the kitchen, he was reading a book and the dishes were still there. It means he was still not eating.

I sat away from him and got some food. He was still planning to move. He was going to seat close to me when I glare him. He immediately returned to his seat and he's smiling.

"Why are you so mean to me?

"Why do you care?!" I said, give him a death glare.

"Do you hate me?" he normally ask

"I already told you when we first met. I. DON'T. LIKE. YOU and You said You didn't like me too, so the feeling is mutual "

"No the feeling is not mutual, 'Cause I like you" I stopped eating and laughed out loud

"AHAHAHA"

He looked at me seriously while I was laughing

"This is the first time that you made me happy" I said, while laughing

"I like you as my wife and you need to like me too as a husband"

"I really don't want to! We can be married even if we don't love each other. They're so many couples who don't inlove with each other.

"Yes, there are some couples who did not love each other, but they also learned to love each other. So, It's the same. You should like me now. "

'He's very straight forward'

"I'm sorry, but I don't believe in such things"

I continued to eat, and when I was over I put the plate in the sink and went out of the house to go to the Beach, but I think I'm unlucky right now because after I came out, It started to rain.

"You can't go outside. It's raining cats and dogs, you might get sick"

I can't do anything, so I entered the house and decided to just watch a movie.

I chose from the movie lists and decided what would I watch. I pick the horror movie even though I don't like it. It's raining and it's better to watch horror when it rains.

I immediately sat up in the couch and covered myself with a blanket.

"I thought, you didn't like horror?" he asked me and sat on the end of the Couch.

"It's raining now. It's better to watch horror when it rains"

There is silence between us and we could only hear the voice on the TV. I admit, I'm scared but I just don't make it obvious.

The scene was beautiful, but it immediately turn off because of brown out, so the whole living room became even quieter.

'Why now?'

I acted not nervous but the truth is my heart almost burst with nervousness.

"I took a leave on my job to come here and get to know you better, but you always tease me, push me away and don't want to be close to you. Why Vianne, are you afraid of me?"

He said seriously, so I swallowed.

"Go back to your work! I didn't tell you to leave your work, so why are you here?" I walked to the kitchen to get water from the refrigerator but I didn't expect him to follow me, but I just ignored him and forced myself not to show that I was nervous.

I took a glass and turned my back on him to pour water. I can feel him behind me and I didn't realize that the glass had filled with water was full, so there was water spilled on the floor. I put water on the table to get a rug to wipe the wet floor. When I turn around, he was in front of me and he was so close to me. I'm even more nervous and I can't hide that anymore.

"You haven't answered my question yet, Vianne" He slowly stepped closer to me, so I stepped back but when I step back, I slipped in the water that I accidentally threw earlier but he caught me immediately, so I didn't fall to the floor.

I hardly breathe and I was losing strength, but I was forced to put my hands on his chest to push him but...

"Why are you afraid of me, Vianne?"

And that question made me even more weak.
