Chapter 7

It's 9:00 am and I'm here in the garden reading a book. I've planned to go on swimming but I decided to do it later.

I took the juice and drank it.

"Are you reading a book?"

I spewed the juice out of my mouth when someone spoke behind me. I turn my head and there i see him clearly.

"Isn't it obvious?" I said sarcastically.

"It's early in the morning and you're so rude to me"

I just roll my eyes and go back on reading. I haven't started reading yet when I was already distracted because he took off his t-shirt. He's topless right now. I avoided my eyes on him and tried to focus in reading.

I heard the sound of water and I saw he's enjoying in swimming. I try to ignore him and read again.

In a few minutes someone spoke again.

"Wanna swim with me?" said Logan, while in the pool.

I glared him. "Swim alone, I don't want to take a bath in the pool now"

"Oh really? I thought you want to swim here 'cause you're wearing a swimsuit" he said looking at my body.

I immediately covered my body with a towel. My cheeks flushed as I adjusted the placement of the towel on my body. I only wore a 1 piece swimsuit but I wore shorts because I'm not comfortable.

"I'm going to swim In the beach right now" I excused.

"Oh really? I heard from Hilda that you are going to take a bath in the pool today" he said playfully.

I give him a glare. "You have a lot of gossip"

He just laughed softly and swam again. I roll my eyes again.

I tried to turn my attention back to the book, but I was distracted by the noise of the water, so I decided to just go to the bedroom and read there.

I stood up and was about to walk in the house when the phone rang. I Immediately search for it and I saw Logan's phone in the chair

~ Hazel Calling ~

I looked at Logan who was busy swimming.

'Who is this? Shall I give it to him or not? '

I sighed before calling Logan.

"Logan!" I shout.

He stopped swimming and looked at me.

"Someone's calling you" I said and waved his phone.

"Who?" he asked. I didn't realize that he was in front of me.

"Hazel" I simply said then I handed the phone to him.

"Answer it for me. I'm still wet"

I stop my eyes from rolling. I answer the phone and I turn on the loud speak button.

"Logan, I miss you"

A soft voice came from Logan's phone. My eyes were on the pool pretending not to hear what the woman said.

I heard Logan clears throat before answering.

"Hmm Hazel, what's up? Why did you call?" said Logan as he stared at me.

I look at him bored while he was talking to the woman.

"That's not the answer to what I said" the voice from the other line became sad.

"I.., uhh...I miss you too " said Logan.

I remain silent while listening to them.

"Come back here I miss you" the voice on the other line became happy.

'Who's this girl?'

I want to ask him, but he might say I'm jealous because I'm curious.

Like,, Duh? I'm not jealous at all.

"I will come back soon, don't worry"

"Okay, Fine I'll wait. You always keep me waiting"

I heard Logan chuckle so I look at him.

"Hazel, just call me later I'm in a pool now"

"Okay, my break time is over, so yeah I need to go on OR. Bye Logan just treat me when you get back" the woman said happily.

"Okay" Logan said

I was still holding Logan's phone waiting for the woman to drop the line but it spoke.

"Weird you're the first to end the call when we talk. Why are you taking so long to end this call, huh?"

"My hands are wet, so I'm having a hard time ending a call." Logan signaled me to end the call, so I followed what he said.

I put Logan's phone back in the chair. I was about to pass him to enter the house, but he spoke.

"Hazel is my friend, and she's my work mate too" he said.

'Ah Friend. I guess they are very close? '

"I didn't ask" I replied.

He would have said something more but I left him and entered the house. I went to my room because to take a bath.

I change my mind. I don't want to go to pool right now because of that annoying man.

After taking a bath. I go downstairs because I'm going to bake a cake. Hilda helped me to prepare the ingredients.

Yes, Hilda and the other maids was arrived last night. I have already mixed the ingredients.

"What flavor will you cook ma'am?" Hilda asked.

"Cheese cake" I said busy breaking the egg

"Is this the flavor you made when we first met?"

'Why is this man here again?'

I took a deep breath before I answered.

"No. That's Red Velvet cake" I replied.

"I like the red velvet"

'Huh! So he wants me to cook for him.

"So what if you like red velvet?" My sarcastic question.

"Cook for me"

"Huh! Cook by yourself don't order me! "

"Please"

"I don't want to! Just buy your red velvet at the Bake shop! Get out of here, you're a nuisance! " I said angrily.

He's very picky! He can cook if he wants to!

He took a deep breath as if he had given up

"Okay I won't cook anymore. I'll just want help you" he said.

"No need Hilda and I can do this "

"I forgot ma'am we're going to the market now" Hilda said suddenly

"Okay Hilda you should go. Hive me that I'm going to break the egg" Logan said.

"OK sir be careful not to break the yellow"

What the ...

"Hilda, you did that, he doesn't know"

"I know" Logan said

I glared him, but he was busy breaking the egg, so I just focused myself on mixing.

"Finished"

I looked at the egg and the yellow and the white were separated

"You know how to bake?" I ask.

"No" he said briefly

"I thought you knew"

"I want to learn but I just want Mom to teach me"

I laughed at what he said.

"You're big. You can do that. Just watch video clips and you'll learn" I said.

"Nothing beats the taste of mom's cake"

"Looks like you love your mom so much"

"Yeah I do" he said smiling

"Where is your mom now?" I ask.

"She's in heaven now. She died when I was only 7 years old"

"I'm sorry. I don't know" I said guilty because I mentioned her mom.

"It's okay" he said and mixed the flour

Silence reigned in the kitchen but it wont last long when I asked

"Your dad. Where is he now?" I ask.

"He's in jail"

I just bit my lip

'Vianne just shut your mouth please!'

"Sorry again"

"It's okay"

I didn't say a word while I put the cake in the oven to be cooked. I thought the silence would last but Logan spoke.

"Ask me more"

"I have nothing more to ask"

"Okay if you--" he stopped talking when his phone rang.

"Uhhh, I'll answer this call first"

I nodded, so he came out to answer

I prepared flour because I was going to bake a red velvet cake.

I was busy mixing when he came back. I just looked at him and focus my eyes on what I was doing.

"That's Brick. My cousin--"

"I didn't ask"

He laughed softly so I stopped stirring

"Word of the day 'I didn't ask'" he said laughing

I give him a glare

"Will you stop laughing or I won't make your request cake"

He stopped laughing

"That's my cake?"

"Yes so break the egg there"

He followed my orders. The cake was already cooked so we put icing.

"Let's watch a movie" he said.

"Okay"

"Romance?" I ask loudly.

"Yes. You don't want this?" he said pointing at the romance movie.

"I want an action movie"

"Okay, here's the remote. You choose" he said then he handed me the remote.

I scrolled but I watched everything that was new. I also don't like fantasy movies.

"No choice It's just romance that I haven't watched yet"

"Okay I'll choose" I pass him the remote then he started to scroll.

"Is that good?" I asked while watching the movie because it was starting.

"Yeah"

I nodded and just focused on the movie.

Since, I'm not fond of romance I fell asleep.

I woke up because of mom's call.

"Mom ..." I said sleepily.

"Sweetie, how are you?"

"I'm okay mom"

"Hmm, It looks like you're getting close with Logan, huh" mom teased me

I immediately opened my eyes in annoyance.

"Mom!"

I notice that I'm in my room. I remember that I was on the sofa earlier watching with ...

Wait ... Did he take me to my room?

I shake my head against what my mind is saying.

"I heard from Logan that you're kind to him. Hmm, sweetie are you already in love with him?"

I frowned at what mom said.

'Have I been kind to him?'

Why did he say that? I always rude to him and I avoided him.

"Mom, if you call just to tease me. I'll just end this call"

I heard a laugh from the other line.

"Okay, sweetie I'm not going to tease you" he said laughing

I rolled my eyes

"Mom, I'm going to end this call. I'll eat first" I said.

"Okay, sweetie. Just call me if you need some love advice" she said laughing.

"Ugh! Mom You're so annoying" I said angrily.

"Okay sweetie Bye I love you" she still laugh

"I love you too, mom" I said and ended the call

I wondered why I'm in my room

'Did he carry me?'

I shook my head again. I went out of the room and was about to go down when I saw him in the kitchen. I'm still on the stairs. I look at the man who was staring at his laptop.

He looks hot wearing those eyeglasses. He's busy typing on his laptop and some paper were scattered on the table.

"You're awake ma'am"

I jumped in surprised when someone spoke behind me

"Hilda!"

Hilda laughed and looked at who I was looking at.

"That's not what you think Hilda" I said.

"You're very defensive ma'am" Hilda laughed

I glared her and she just bow her head

"Uhh ... I still have work to do ma'am" she said.

She was going to leave me but I called her.

"Hilda"

"Yes ma'am?"

"Uhhh ..."I don't know where to start. Why I'm in my room when I woke up when I was in the living room earlier?"

"Ahh, is that it ma'am? Sir Logan took you to your room because you woke up for a long time, and he said he had something to do, and he didn't want to leave you in the living room"

I nodded at what he said

"Thanks for telling me Hilda"

Hilda just smiled and went down. I looked at the man in the kitchen who looked busy.

In recent days I have noticed something in myself.

It seems like I want to know him better.

"I Want to know him more" I said staring at my Fiance
