Chapter 02: The Meeting

At each passing hour, the little prince felt bored. Nothing was interesting for him to see outside the window other than the same tall colorless buildings. Soon enough the little Prince saw something from the distance. He saw a place different from the rest. Instead of greyscale-colored buildings, the one he was seeing was bright and multicolored. His curiosity grew bigger and he felt excitement. The little prince opened his mouth in awe and amusement.

The car came to a stop. "We're here," the man said.

"Is this the place where I'll meet the person?" the little prince inquired.

"Yes it is"

"Wow," the little prince was fascinated, "what a pretty place he or she lives in"

"And this is where you will be staying," the man added with a smirk.

"What?" the little prince was too engrossed by what he sees that is why he failed to hear what the man just said.

"Oh nothing," the man answered, "you'll like it here"

They approached a big gate with two tall men who are not as pale as the other men. They looked like the guards to that place and they are dressed like nutcracker soldiers.

The man whom he was with opened his car window and whispered something to one of the guards. The guard looked at the little prince and smiled at him. The little prince, despite being clueless on what is going on, smiled back at the guard.

"Welcome!" the guard waved his hand at him, "enjoy your stay!"

"Thank you!" the little prince waved back. He thought that the guard was a nice person.

The man whom he was with closed the car window and proceeded to find a parking space.

"Accommodating people, aren't they?" the man asked.

"Yes, they are," the little prince answered with a smile on his face.

"Wait until you meet the head of this place"

The car was put to a stop. The man got out of that car.

"The head?" the little prince asked.

"Let's go," the man said as he opened the car door for the Little Prince.

They approached the big wooden door which seemed to be the entrance to the place.

"I am going to meet the head of this place?" the little prince repeated.

"Yes you sure will," the man said with a smile on his face.

"And he or she has the answers to my questions?"

"You said that right"

The little prince may be a curious young boy, but surely he isn't dumb. He sensed that something about all this is a little bit off.

"I have a question," the Little Prince started.

"Yes, young lad?"

"Out of everyone on this planet, why does no one else but the head of this place have the answer to my question?"

The man stopped walking, he was taken aback. He didn't expect the little prince to inquire such a question.

"Did I say something wrong?"

The man answered nervously, "you see kid, not everyone in this place knows something," he paused, trying to choose his words as carefully as he can, "out of all the people here, she's the only one who has the answers to your question"

"How strange," the Little Prince commented, "she must be a wise person"

"I sure am"

Both of them turned around to look at whom the speaker is.

"Hi there young boy," the lady who was dressed in a bright red blouse with a pink pencil skirt patted the little prince's head, "Are you the one who seeks answers?"

"Who are you?" the little prince took a step back to get the lady's hand off his head.

"She's the one whom I was talking about," the man with him answered.

"Oh I see," the little prince bowed down politely, "nice to meet you"

The lady chuckled, "Oh no need to be formal"

"From the last planet I had been, it was a tradition to bow down their head as a polite gesture" the Little Prince answered.

"How interesting," the lady answered, "you can always learn something new from kids, don't you think Officer?"

The man chuckled, "we sure can do."

The two adults laughed at something the little prince did not find funny.

"I apologize for interrupting," the little prince started, "Miss may I ask you something?"

The two adults now stopped laughing and stared at the little prince.

"Of course you may!" the lady replied enthusiastically, "we can discuss it at my office"

"I better get going," the man butted in, "enjoy your stay young boy." The man waved his hand and started walking away with a smirk on his face.

"Enjoy my stay?" the little prince now looks confused.

"Oh don't mind him," the lady replied, "he is just a silly man"

The little prince chuckled, "yes he is quite a silly man"

"Now, you want answers don't you?" the lady asked the little prince.

The little prince nodded in response.

The lady opened the two huge brightly colored red doors, "come on in".
