The Baronia Empire
The sky starts clearing as the fortress of Baronia moves away from the Kingdom. Leaving the atmosphere as it settles right within the Moon’s orbit.
“As you wish my lord. What shall the next move?” The doctor wondered.
The Baronia King gets up from his throne.
“Very well doctor. As you know now on what we just witnessed is how stupid and careless this generation is. The way these beings pay attention to their natural surroundings.”
“True indeed and interesting for this generation.” Nodded the doctor. “They seem to be rather laid back which will give us the upper hand compared to last generation of fighters.”
The King takes a look at the holographic chess board from earlier.
“This boy so far is the only minimal threat so far. So dimwitted and clueless. Order another set of Pawns to attack his village this time.”
Dr. Page raised one of his brows to question the King.
“Wouldn’t that be repetitive to do that? Wouldn’t this be a good time to send our first monster?”
The King explains more.
“I’m aware but we only saw this Alistor fight once. I want to make sure if that was just dumb luck or if he can really fight back.”
“So we’re going to play it compared to last time. Very well then.”
“With more efficient data, it will avoid us from making the same mistake.” He noted. “I intend to go down there to introduce myself. They shall soon know who we are.”
As Alistor rushed back home as quick as possible. Mr. Tannen spots Alistor and follows up with him while carrying the load of dead beasts.
“What’s the hurry? You’re a bit different than usual.”
“We got ourselves a new enemy. I barely survived the battle with some strange mechanical soldiers. Maybe because my sword was broad before I realized in the end.”
Tannen started laughing back in a positive manner.
“So you fell for another one of Maigashi’s pranks. Lucky for you ha. You should stop falling for his tricks if you ever want to be get better.”
Alistor starts to feel slightly embarrassed.
“Well I’ll get him for this. I could have been screwed over if I knew earlier.” Alistor takes a look at the dead beasts Tannen is carrying.
“More supplies I see? You hunted them down?”
He looked back at Alistor.
“Yep. Should last us for about one month. It is good that you are starting to fend for yourself. You know Sairori and I can’t always be there to watch your back forever.”
Alistor nodded back.
“Well we’re back finally.”
They both make it back to Emerald Village. Alistor and Tannen returns home as everyone was downstairs. Auroa was by Sairori joining him for tea as Maigashi was lying back napping on a couch. The door opens as Alistor enters in and immediately jumps on Maigashi.
“You bastard! I nearly got myself killed cause of you.”
They start to wrestle each other on the ground.
Sairori just ignores the conflict as Auroa just gives off a creepy smile. Maigashi pinned Alistor back on the ground.
“I still got it!”
They continue to wrestle. Tannen watches the fight while standing at the door. The two continue on exhaust themselves. Tannen grabs a seat at the table.
“So any new?” Sairori asked.
Tannen quickly recaps everything Alistor told. The arrival of the Baronia fortress and his battle against the pawns.
“He barely survived with the broad sword.” He concluded.
Sairori puts his cup down.
“Well that explains everything I guess.”
He starts to get annoyed with the racket Alistor and Maigashi continuing.
“Someone stop them with this pointless racket.”
Tannen drops the supplies he was carrying on his back and gets up. He breaks them both up dragging the two out. Outside Alistor and Maigashi were sent as Tannen had his arms crossed. The two continue to not look at each other like kids.
“Enough with this act. We are comrades in arms. There is a time for fun and a game but now’s not the right time.”
They both continue to ignore Tannen and not look at each other. Tannen smacks both of them on the head.
“If you both won’t cooperate there will be no dinner for both of you.”
“No dinner!” Shouted Maigashi. “
What!” Gasped Alistor.
Tannen made his decision.
“Now both of you make up. You can come back in when you’re ready.”
Tannen returns back inside as the two remains outside. They both continue not to face each other. Maigashi laughed in an obnoxious manner.
“If you wouldn’t have jumped on me this would have never happened.”
He glared back at Maigashi.
“Jumped? You where the one that started it.”
“Oh really? You’re the one that’s talking. Thanks to you we’re gonna go without dinner for the night.”
Alistor sighed.
“Well if you hadn’t given me that broad sword this wouldn’t have happened. We have a new enemy and I was barely able to survive.”
They both continue to argue like little girls as Tannen leans to the door. Sairori looks outside through the window to check on the both of them.
“Sigh…Bamboo how did you even brought them together.”
Katty then enters the room.
“Auroa just mention about Alistor. Is he all right?”
“Oh he’ll be fine.” Tannen assured. “I just threatened them with no dinner for tonight if they won’t behave.”
Katty mood brightened up a bit.
“Well that’s a relief. I just got back from my daily morning training. What’s for dinner?”
He looks over at the supplies Tannen brought back.
“Whoa! You caught a hand full today didn’t you?”
Tannen nodded in a smile. “Yep. Hunted them down before I met up with Alistor.”
Sairori looks away from the window. “Well I guess we should be discussing about the latest news before lunch then I supposes. They all head back to the living room while Alistor and Maigashi continues arguing outside. As time passed, they finally got tired. Noon was breaking in as they were already getting hungry. As the winds begin to pick in and the cold temperature starts to rise. Baronia was wasting no time getting everything prepped and ready.
“My lord. Are we ready to deploy down?”
The Baronia King waves his staff and to the side.
“Yes no time to waste. Let us deploy down for a brief introductory.”
As the two sat outside ignoring one another, they immediately hear a scream from the other side of the town. They both rushed to the scene as Tannen and the others stayed behind.
“What could this be about?” Asked Alistor.
“I don’t know but who cares. Let check this out then.”
They both arrive to the scene. A few pawns are in sight scaring off a villager.
“Those are the things that attacked me.” Whispered Alistor.
Maigashi gives them a strange look.
“They’re not what you see around every day. Let take them!”
Their mood shifted back up as they charged right in. More pawns immediately teleport down to the scene outnumbering them.
“You got to be kidding me. That’s not fair.” Murmured Maigashi.”
They both stand off against a group of Baronia pawns. The fight begins and Baronia Pawns charge to them. The two cuts down the first one with a combined team effort. Machine parts fly everywhere as the rest continue to advance to them.
“Here they come!”
Alistor charged while Maigashi gets himself in position.
“I need some space first.”
Alistor looked back at Maigashi readying his bow.
“How should we do this then?”
Maigashi passes his only blade to Alistor for double wielding purposes.
“Wait! I never dual wielded before.”
“Just do something. Cover me a bit so I can get a clear shot.”
They both agree to the plan as the battle commenced. Tannen goes to check on them both outside and finds them gone. He rush’s back inside to tell everyone.
“We’re could they be.” Sairori wondered.
Alistor holds off two pawns with his double blades. Maigashi takes his time readying his arrows.
“Anytime would be good now. I think I won’t be able to hold them much longer.”
Maigashi finds some arrows and gets them ready. Alistor takes some hits.
“Out of the way.” Yelled Maigashi as he fired his first shot at the pawns.
An electrical blast brings three pawns to the ground.
“Bulls eye!”
The two of them continue to work together as a team to take them down. The pawns draw out their weapons to attack them.
“Were still outnumbered. Got any other ideas.” Alistor asked.
He started to step back considering a retreat .The pawns surrounded the both within seconds. The two were now in a tight situation. A pawn hits them both as they got knocked to the floor. The two quickly took that one out through struggling and quickly hitting it by surprise.
“We’ll make it out one way or another.” Maigashi panted.
Meanwhile Tannen and the others continue to search for them.
“Those two better be okay hopefully.”
Auroa quickly detects some action from the distance.
“Hey there might be something going on that way.” He pointed.
They head to that direction quickly. Alistor and Maigashi get knocked down again by the other pawns.
. “Well we’ve did the best we can. It’s been nice knowing you.”
Believing it was the very end as they lie exhausted. The pawns laughs and begin giving a mocking expression. Before proceeding further a cutting wind throws them back. The sound of the whip cracks shattering a couple pawns.
“You guys alright?” Auroa asked.
“About time…”
Tannen toss’s a hand axe fast to hit one that was close to them. The axe split that pawn in half as more parts went flying. Sairori slash’s through two pawns from behind.
“We’re just in time.” Sairori said. “What are these things?”
A few pawns notice Sairori and try charging towards him. The approaching pawns are immediately caught by surprise from Katty emerging under the leaves.
“You won’t catch us off guard.” Katty pestered.
He knocks them to the other side causing some to get dismantled. Maigashi grinned back at Auroa.
“So you’re still not rusty with your wind attacks.”
Auroa just smiled back at them in relief that they’re both okay. Sairori and the others watch Katty and Tannen finish off the rest easily.
“So you both learned to work together. You may join us for dinner later.” Tannen approved.
Tannen was in a jolly mood as he pats both their shoulders. Right when they were about to leave a mass of energy teleports down to confront them all.
“Hahaha! Congratulations for defeating them again. So this is your whole team?”
The others draw their attention to the King figure standing above them all.
“Who are you?” Asked Tannen.
“What do you want with us?” Mentioned Sairori.
The King figure starts to introduce himself.
“I am the Baronia King. Ruler of the Baronia Empire. We are here to destroy your precious little kingdom before hahaha.
An old man appears aside of the king. In appearance of a mechanical bishop figure started talking as well.
“You can call me Dr. Page, chief advisor of the Baronia Empire.”
“Baronia Empire? Muttered Sairori.
The Baronia King glances at them in a smile taking amusement.
“You win this time, but the next time you all won’t be so lucky. Farewell fools!”
The Baronia King Teleports away with Dr. Page.
“So now we know who we’re up against.” Sairori nodded.
Tannen and Sairori started getting into a conversation.
“From this point on we’ll have to be cautious about whatever we do. Now that we know the enemy we’re dealing with.”
“We should be getting back now and I’ll explain everything to you about them since I know and heard about them before. Sairori explained.”
As Alistor and the rest head back the King is busy overjoyed and confident about their opponents.
“Hahaha now that we know what we’re up against we can for sure know what to do next time.”
The doctor sits down and calls in the Knight pieces to come in. The King finishes his speech again before retiring to the meeting room with Dr. Page.
“We are back and we’re better than ever.”
The Baronia King enters to the next room to see all the head pieces waiting in their chairs around a rectangular table. They begin their discussion about their plans.
