Starting Over

Jakov's Pov

I and Alina sat by the kitchen table and ate our breakfast.

"Do you wanna start over? Get to know each other for real this time?" I asked and Alina nodded.

"Yeah. I would like that," And smiled before she took a bite from the toast she was eating.

"Let's play 10 questions? We both get to ask each other 10 questions and we must reply truthfully!" Alina shrugged.

"Good. What's your favorite color?"

"Yellow," Alina replied, "What's yours?" I smiled, "Blue. Like your eyes." I chuckled when Alina's cheeks blushed, "What's your biggest fear?" I asked and Alina froze.

"I don't wanna play anymore," She mumbled and pit down her sandwich, and left the room. I sighed and walked after her and found her on the bed.

"You need to stop run from your feelings, you know," I said and she glanced over me.

"Talk to me, Alina. Whatever is on your mind I can handle." I continued and she turned away.

"It's not that easy. I know you mean well, but we did just met. That question might not be hard to answer for a normal person. But to me it is straightforward." She whispered. "I can tell you mine?" I replied and she nodded. "My biggest fear is to lose someone I love. The thought of someone in my family dying is terrifying." Alina turned around.

"Do you wanna tell me yours?" I mumbled and she took a deep breath. "Myself." She whispers and wrinkled my forehead, "Yourself?" She nodded. "Yes. My biggest fear is myself and my feelings. I hate to let people down. I am never enough." Jakov nodded. "Okay. But this is something we can work on, Alina. You don't have to walk around and feel those things," I stated and she glances out over the room.

"How many girlfriends have you had?" Alina asked while fumbling with the blanket.

"None." She started laughing, "yeah right! Stop lying. I know you've been with girls?"

"I have been with girls, but I have never had a girlfriend," I replied and Alina frowned.

"So you just messed around with them?" I shrugged.

"Yeah.. Something like that." "How many?" Alina shouted and I began to regret answering truthfully.

"That doesn't matter." Alina gasped for air. "Is it so many that you can't even answer?" Alina got up and walked across the room. "I'm married to a man whore!" She stated and put a hand over her chest.

"Hey! Don't call me that!" "I'm gonna call you that until you reply." She muttered and raised an eyebrow. "Okay. But you're not gonna like the answer..."

"Probably not. Spill!" Alina shouted. "Around thirty," I mumbled, a little too low for anyone to hear.

"Speak up!" Alina said annoyed and glared at me.

"Around thirty..." I said again and Alina stared at me with raised eyebrows and shook her head.

"Hey! You can not be mad about past relationships? That was before you!" Alina rolled her eyes. "Yes. But are any of these girls a part of your life in any way besides sleeping with you? Will I run into these girls?" Alina asked a little insecure. "We haven't even done it yet, and I don't know when I'm ready. And I will definitely not be anytime soon after hearing this."

"Alina! Calm down." I said a little angrier than I thought it would sound.

"No. You will not stumble upon any of the girls. None of them are related to anyone close to the family and I never brought them over there. And now when we are married we will buy our own house and settle in. So you don't have to worry. There will be only you know. Marriage is holy, and I will do whatever I can to keep you happy."

"Why are you so nice and say all of these things. You don't know me? I can be a psycho for all you know." Alina whispers. "Yeah? You're my psycho then baby!"

Alina threw a pillow at me and soon we began to wrestle on the bed. She tackled me pretty well and held me down while bordering me.

Her laughed bounced between the walls and her blonde hair fell over her shoulders and tickled my face when she leaned in before me.

And once again I was amazed by her. She was so perfect. And I fell for her more and more for each second. "So?" She whispers and our eyes locked.

"Yes?" I mumbled back, fighting my urges to flip her around and take her right there.

"Maybe we should get ready and do some sightseeing?" Alina shuddered and was quickly up on her feet.

"I'm gonna get ready." She said and pulled one of her bags with her into the bathroom.

I shook my head laughing about how cute she was when she was blushing and struggling with that heavy bag. But she just glared at me before closing the door. I changed clothes and then went out to the balcony to have a smoke before we headed out.

"What do you wanna do first?" Jakov asked when we came outside the entrance and I shrugged.

"I don't know. Maybe take a walk around the area and get some fresh air?"

"Sure, why not!" He answered and we started walking side by side.

We headed towards the forest that surrounded the resort and found a small path between the branches that was hanging down, hiding it from a distant eye.

"Wow. This is beautiful!" I mumbled when we walked past a small open field that ended before an incredible view over a lake.

"Yes. It really is," Jakov mumbled and grabbed my hand. My first instinct was to pull away, but I let him hold it.

We stood side by side and admired the view and I wanted to save this moment and lock it up in my memory forever. It was perfect.

"Alina?" Jakov mumbled and I felt his hot breath against my ear.
