Twin Dragons

The wind blew gently around them. Their robes swayed in the direction the wind took them.

Sun Xun's long hair which is dark as ink swayed against his robes. He looked even more like an immortal. He didn't even pant after moving so much.

As he turned to look at Song Jia who was dressed in a young man's azure robe, he wanted her to have paid attention to his movements just now. He could see the potential in her. Although her current cultivation is low, her movements earlier posed a lot of future opportunities for her.

Also, once he and his guard left, he was unusually worried for them. What if someone who could also break through the array here would come over? What if they won't be as nice as them? Only two girls here in the mountain. It's really dangerous.

So he hoped that she paid attention just now. If she had any interest in learning it, he would leave a manuscript behind. She can train using it and use it to defend themselves.

But instead, he saw Song Jia's smiling face.

'Why is she smiling?'

Sun Xun has met various kinds of people. He has especially met a lot of women who would fawn over him, hoping to get his attention.

But he thought that this girl would be different. She didn't appear starstruck with him earlier.

He couldn't understand why she was smiling.

"Ahemm.." The master, Sun Xun became self-conscious all of a sudden. "Did you pay attention to the moves just now?"

Song Jia nodded, beaming at him.

He cleared his throat once again. 'Don't tell me she became enamored with me because of my moves?'

Sun Xun's golden eyes widened in surprise at his own realization.

To be fair, Song Jia really did look like she had just seen a celebrity. Her eyes were shining brightly, a wide smile appeared on her face. Her pearly white teeth made her even dazzling. Her hands were even clapping.

On the other side, Song Jia, whose lips curled up in a smile, was amused at his change in facial expression.

He appeared so stiff and serious earlier, but for reasons unknown to her, he suddenly looked like he's about to run away.

She cleared her throat, breaking him away from his strange thoughts.

"Big brother Sun Xun, I would like to try out the moves you showed me just now." Her clear voice startled him.

He nodded stiffly, his brows knitted together.

Song Jia refocused her mind and calmed her breaths.

She then began to execute the moves he had just shown. It was even more graceful compared to Sun Xun's. One could even see that she had strength in her every move.

'Ah.. is this why she was smiling earlier? Because she knows the moves already? Was she making fun of me then? That can't be right. She doesn't seem to be that kind of person.'

The thought surprised Sun Xun, giving him relief. But afterwards, he also felt a strange feeling. Something akin to disappointment. Was he disappointed that she wasn't enamored with him after all?

'Who cares? She's still a young girl anyway..'

He couldn't possibly be the one who is enamored instead, right?

If anything, he should only have felt a little curiosity towards her. She certainly wasn't like others who only cared about dressing up in the latest fashion, the amount of jewelry they accumulate or if they could get the man they want to marry.

But how could he be sure? He only just met her. Just because she's wearing boy's clothes? She must have a reason for it. Just like why she's using an illusion ring.

Song Jia exhaled, her eyes shined brightly. 'With my training from Master Teacher Zi Tai, combined with my knowledge and experiences from my past life, this move that I have learned back then when I was masquerading as Luna is nothing at all.'

"You know this form?" Sun Xun couldn't believe what he just witnessed.

"Big brother Sun Xun, thank you for showing it to me!" Her grin crumbled his stiff face.

'This girl.. Does it mean that she remembered all of it after I showed her it once?'

"Then.. Do you know this?" Without a minute's pause, Sun Xun made his move which is part of the form.

Song Jia nodded, smiling brightly then proceeded to execute the same move.

Lu Ping and Wan Yan who were watching couldn't believe what they're seeing. The immortal looking man actually bothered to teach her some forms. Anybody who knows his identity could only wish to have such an opportunity. Song Jia didn't even ask him to teach her, but he voluntarily did. Just what made her different from others then? Could other people imitate her so they may be able to get such an opportunity in the future?

But what was surprising was that Song Jia didn't look like she needed to be taught.

Now, Song Jia didn't wait for him to show her the move first. She went ahead and executed the next part of the form in perfect sync with him, as if they had practiced it for a long time together.

On Song Jia's side, she felt invigorated. It was as if she went down memory lane when she was still younger than she was right now. Arlo had pushed her to learn the different kinds of martial arts along with learning what school-age children learn at school. The sooner she finishes one area, she would be pushed to move on to the next. Until she got used to it and pushed herself to excel even without Arlo saying anything. It was like saying, 'that's a given' or 'as it should be'. She didn't bear any resentment with regards to his way of parenting. That's just how she was raised, she didn't know otherwise.

But the older she got, the more she realized that her talents and skills could afford her the benefits given to her. She was revered in the organization. She could choose to decline missions. If she had not died, she would even be the head of the organization. Before she died, she was already deemed worthy as a candidate.

With Song Jia's every move, she also recalled the teachings of her past mentors. They always gave her praises and were proud to have her as their student. If only they could speak her name to others, they would have also benefited from her reputation.

Sun Xun felt his whole being experience a sudden high. Only a few people could match him. Even fewer who would actually dare to be his match. But this girl did not show that she was intimidated by him. Although she kept calling him 'big brother', it felt like she saw him on the same level as her. Who would dare to think of such thoughts?

Once the two people moved in perfect sync, it was like watching a dance or a play. It was simply too beautiful. Wan Yan and Lu Ping's jaws dropped. They were mesmerized. When they ended their moves, Wan Yan and Lu Ping were left wanting more.

Could they scream, 'Encore! Encore!'?

And yet, the two who just executed the Dragon Spring Sword. With them executing it in perfect sync, they looked like twin dragons.
