Chapter 6

It is Saturday, and the couple is studying at their apartment when they suddenly heard the doorbell rang.

Nicole immediately left to check who is outside their home.

When Nicole saw that it was her parents outside she was surprised.

She didn't know that her parents are coming to visit them but was also reminded of the day.

Once a month every Saturday her parents will come and visit their house just to check if they are doing well and all.

Her parents are waiting for her to talk and let them in when Claude greets and lets them in.

He knows that his girlfriend's parents are coming but decided to keep silent about it.

"Dad you arrived quite early" he said.

"Yeah, the traffic was not that heavy" Ian replied, Nicole's dad.

"Mom, you should have called me. I forgot that you were coming" Nics complains.

"I was calling you, I don't know why you aren't answering it" Tanya replied, her mother.

Nicole then checks her phone to see if she was really calling her, she saw 4 missed calls from her mom and notice that her phone was on 'don't disturb mode' since she was studying she sets it on.

She was speechless at how stupid she was.

Claude on the other hand is trying his best to not laugh at his girlfriend.

Ian noticed this and a smile forms on his face.

He felt how good the relationship of the couple has.

"See? I was calling you" Her mom refuted.

"Honey, that's enough" Ian calms his wife down.

After calming down, the newly arrived couple checks their apartment.

From cleaning their bedroom to checking if they have enough food, the couple checks everything.

They are worried that both Claude and Nicole are not doing well since they have school to worry about after all.

'Before going to Nicole and Claude's apartment, they stopped by first in a grocery store to buy the couple some food and things that they will need, from vegetables to snacks and many more.'

Back to the current situation, Tanya started unpacking everything they had bought.

Before putting all the food inside the fridge, she firstly cleans it, checking if some food is already expired and cannot be eaten anymore.

Luckily she found nothing and started arranging all the new food they have bought.

Ian, her father, on the other hand, is checking their appliances and rooms if some problems need to be fixed.

He found nothing at all and decided to help his wife in cleaning the house.

Before getting started in cleaning, he noticed that both Nicole and Claude are studying inside their own rooms.

He remembers that they had bought some fruits from the grocery earlier and decided to give the couple a bite of it.

He then asked his wife where the fruits are,

"Honey, where are the fruits?"

"Why?" his wife asked.

"I want to give the kids a snack to eat while studying" he replied.

"It is in the fridge, inside a drawer"

Ian immediately opens the fridge and finds the fruits.

He decided to give them apples and peaches.

Washing and cutting the fruits was not a problem for him as he is a chef.

After cutting the fruits, he then puts the fruits on two different plates and gave each one to the couple.

"Thanks, Dad" the couple both said.

He nods at both of them and continued to help his wife in cleaning the house.

Ian and Tanya didn't have a hard time cleaning as the house was already clean before they even arrived.

They believed it was Claude who cleans it. Both of them knew how Claude hates studying with a messy surrounding.

They finished cleaning early and Tanya decided to make lunch for all of them.

Ian is in the living room watching a TV show.

He is clearly lazing around while his wife is doing something.

After some time, Claude takes a break from studying and sat next to Ian.

He saw what show his Dad is watching and decided to stay and watch with him.

Tanya gave them some peanuts to snack on while watching.

"Dad, this show is really good"

"I know right, once I go home I will find this show and watch it myself"

Both of them are a fan of medical-related drama.

Claude watches these kinds of dramas to help him calm and relax after studying for so long while Ian on the other hand watches these for fun and entertainment purposes.

As time passed by, Tanya finishes cooking lunch and calls all of them to eat.

"Mom, this is really delicious" Nicole said.

Tanya smiled at her and nods.

"Do you want the recipe? I recently found it online and decided to give it a try today, I didn't expect that this will turn out good"

She cooked a buffalo-style fried chicken with garlic rice on the side.

All of them love rice.

"Yes" she replied.

After eating lunch, Claude and Nicole volunteered to wash the dishes and let their parents rest.

While washing the dishes Nicole is seen having a hard time breathing.

Claude on her side quickly gets her medicines and assisted her in taking them.

Claude was about to tell to Nicole's parents the situation right now but was stopped by her.

"Please don't tell Mom and Dad" she requested.

"Nics, they need to know" he replied in a cold tone indicating how serious he is right now.

"I don't want to worry them, please just this time" she said looking straight at his cold eyes.

Both of them stared at each other for a long before Claude spoke.

"Fine, but if I see you again having a hard time breathing I will immediately tell them"

Nicole sighs in relief and smiled at her boyfriend.

She really loves him.

After calming her breath she continued doing what she was doing earlier with Claude supporting her.

Several hours passed by after the kitchen incident and Nicole's parents already left.

The couple is now all alone again in their apartment.

It is now dinner time and both of them are hungry, but her mom made this afternoon is already gone.

The couple is too tired to even start cooking so they decided to just order pizza online.

Claude orders pepperoni and four-cheese pizza with cola on the side for them to share.

They will need to wait for 25 minutes for the order to arrive.

While waiting, the two of them sat on the couch and starts watching TV.

They have been studying for so long.

After waiting for quite some time, they finally heard someone pressing their doorbell.

Claude quickly stands up to get their order. He got their order and places it on top of the coffee table in their living room.

They plan to eat it in their living room since they want to eat while watching a show on TV.

Claude did all the work in arranging their table, Nicole volunteered, but he rejected it, saying she needed to rest and relax.

Soon, he finished preparing their table and gave her a plate with a piece of pizza on it.

She quickly ate the pizza as she was so hungry.

The couple enjoyed their night eating pizza while watching a show together.
