Chapter 7

Nicole is sitting alone in her room thinking about what she should do for Claude's upcoming birthday. She really wants to surprise her boyfriend. Instead of thinking about this alone, she decided it would be best to have some more people to help her.

She called James, her boyfriend's best friend, and Freia, her bestfriend. Both of them agreed to help her and all of them decided to meet up at a mall.

Nicole was getting ready and Claude noticed that his girlfriend is going somewhere and asked "Love, where are you going?"

"Oh, I'm meeting some of my high school friends this afternoon" she replied, lying about who she would meet up with.

"Well, take care and call me if something ever happens" he said.

"Yes I will"

A few minutes later, Nicole is ready to leave. She decided to borrow her boyfriend's car, Claude agreed to it and gave her the keys. She quickly kissed her boyfriend's cheek and ran off the door to immediately escape him.

Claude was taken aback by this action but couldn't help his smile from forming on his face. 'She really is unpredictable' he thought while shaking his head. He blushed just by remembering his girlfriend's action so he decided to do something and busied himself.

Nicole immediately messaged her friends. 'Frey and James, I'm on my way how about you guys?' After she messages her friends, she drove to their meet-up place, and while driving she received a call.

"Hey," she said.

"Hello, it's James"

"Oh, what's up?"

"Nics I'm sorry, I think I will be late for a couple of minutes"

"Why? Did something happen to you? Are you ok?" she bombarded him with a lot of questions.

"I'm fine, it's the traffic"

"Oh, is that so then we will wait for you at a café"

"Yeah, thanks"

"No problem, bye"

"Bye"

The call ended and she then called her bestfriend.

"Hello?" Freia answered.

"Hey Frey, I just got a call from James saying he will be late because of the traffic"

"Tsk, he really is troublesome"

"Don't be like that, I told him we will wait for him at a café"

"Sure, I'm on my way, see you later" she hung up.

A couple of minutes later, Nicole finally arrived at the mall. While parking she noticed Frey was also parking next to her. After parking the two of them are seen laughing at how funny Nicole parked. This made her feel embarrassed.

The two are now walking toward a famous café to wait for James. Freia volunteered to order their drinks. While waiting for Frey, she messaged her boyfriend. 'I just arrived and met up with my friends' after one minute, Claude replied 'That's good, be careful and take care'

Frey comes back with their drinks and the two of them started chatting. A few minutes later, James arrived and ordered himself a drink. With James added to the group they began to discuss their topic.

"I think it would be best if one of you two suddenly call Claude stating I got kidnapped and you don't know where they would take me. Then after that call, an unknown number will call him and say that they have me and began threatening him.

After that, the so-called kidnapper will state the place where they held me captive. I know Claude will come immediately. The one who will call him first is Frey followed by James, and James you need to download a voice changer app to completely deceive him.

You will mention the beach where we always celebrate our anniversary; if he questions why that place, don't answer him answering will raise suspicion. All of us will prepare the place where Claude will be celebrating. I want to invite his family too so I will need to contact them about this matter" she explained her plan.

"Are you all good with my plan?" she asked the two of them.

"I'm good with it, leave the necessary things and food you need to prepare the place to me" James answered.

"I'm also good with it, I will do my best to act as if you are really missing" Freia also answered.

"That's great I thought my plan was ridiculous"

"It is but worth the try" Freia replied.

All of them laugh and after a while began to discuss the plan more in-depth. Giving some ideas and improving the way they will conduct themselves. Nicole also called Jasmine, her boyfriend's mother informing her that she will be visiting them today.

After they discussed all the things that needed to be discussed they wrap it up and call it a day. Nicole having another appointment to attend left early and James and Freia were left behind.

"Claude sure is lucky to have Nicole" James stated.

"You're right, I want to have a boyfriend too" Freia complained.

Both of them laughed at Freia's statement.

Nicole messaged her mother saying she is on her way. She hoped that Claude's parents will agree to her plan. After driving for a while she finally arrived at her destination. She quickly rang the doorbell and a beautiful woman opens the door for her.

"Good Afternoon Mom" she greeted.

"Good Afternoon too Nicole" Jasmine replied. "Did you eat already or are you hungry?" she added.

"I ate already mom, thanks for the offer"

"Is that so?"

"Yeah"

"So, what brings you here today and also without my baby boy Claude" she asked.

Nicole quickly explained to her why she came and told her all about her plan.

"Oh, that's a great plan" Jasmine said. "I'm so excited to see what face my son will have when he finally realized that it was a surprise party for him" she added.

"Thanks, Mom, I was nervous that you will not agree to it"

"Silly girl, this kind of thing is normal for couples so don't worry about the details"

They both chatted with themselves for a long time. Catching up with each other and snacking some food. Nicole didn't even notice the time until Claude called her asking where she is and why is she not back yet.

After answering the call Nicole immediately bid her goodbyes to her Mom and Dad.

She doesn't want to worry her beloved boyfriend. While driving she turns on the radio and starts singing some song.

Sometime later that day, she arrived at their apartment and she saw Claude waiting for her. She quickly hugged her boyfriend waiting for her. Both of them hugged each other tightly.

"Why are you late?" Claude asked.

"Sorry, I didn't notice the time we were talking some things and forgot about the time" she replied wholeheartedly.

"Ok, did you have fun?" he asked again.

"Of course, I did" she replied once again.

Both of them chatted with each other and Nicole who is tired fell asleep in Claude's arms. Claude stared at her peaceful face thinking how lucky he is to have her as a girlfriend.
