…Their gaze drifted to the window as the sun rose into the horizon, peaceful, yet a sense of dread gripped at their heart…
Oracle was one who did not need sleep, nor well needed any in general since the way the Earth worked differed from that of their own home…Even the thought of it made them feel a bit homesick. Shaking their head Oracle grabbed a bunch of scattered papers and books, messily shoving the items into a bag, the thought of how similar this was to their own place tugged like strings being plucked on a guitar, making the alien miss their own planet even more, yet… there was no place to return to, destroyed by the one who wished to destroy this planet in her conquest, perhaps as well add a mortal to her own collection as she had done with Oracle.
The thought made Oracle nauseous as one of their pale thin hands danced lightly on their throat a bit, invisible chains seemed to linger on their skin…Quickly, Oracle snuffed those thoughts away before throwing the bag of books…" bookbag" as what these humans would call it, onto their back before slipping out of the house they claimed as their own, abandoned and in shambles, a perfect spot for them to stay while not rising much suspicion.

Three days, that's how long Oracle has been searching for those whom they continued to see within their future glimpse, and…they had a feeling of who it was by now yet, the only problem was, confronting them and telling the two that they were meant to save this planet, prevent what happened from theirs and countless of others to happen on this…strangely beautiful planet.
Oracle's grip tightened on the strap of their bag, walking down the pavement to the location of the school while the sun slowly rose on the horizon declaring it another day that soon will quickly cycle once more and they couldn't help but let a soft chuckle slip from their pale rosy lips, no wonder humans did not live as long as other species did across the solar system, their days are quite…short.
Despite the short days compared to their own planet, Oracle did find a sense of beauty here on Earth, the leaves turning different shades of fiery oranges and reds, birds singing their morning songs while a nip of the morning cold air bit their nose slightly and they hummed from what they heard, what was going on was called a "season" and they currently were at the end of "summer" going into "fall." Of course, this gained another chuckle from Oracle, humans were strange but… They could not complain as the more they learn about their planet and home…the more they fell in love with it.
The sounds of humming cars as they passed by on the long pavement smoothed over with asphalt came and gone as they walk, taking in everything as they made their trudge to the school. To think, in a million years, that Oracle would once again find themselves going to something that dealt with teaching kids once more was quite an amusing pluck of a string, yet of course, on Earth, they're only that of the age seventeen, so they believed.
Time moved differently here as they previously denoted so Oracle was more unsure of how things worked versus that on their own planet. With a shrug, they tried not to think more of it as the view of the high school came into view and then that feeling of annoyance came creeping up in their chest and they frowned a bit before trudging forward, another day, yet this time, things will be different.

Another day, and another dreadful time at school. Safrina could not wait until fall break was upon them, it would mean more time to sleep in, and less time socializing also putting in the plus of not having to deal with those she wished to not see.
Yet, she was quick to put on a stone-cold face to remain as monotone as possible so no one could see through how she really felt about High School. Though she did have to admit, this year had gotten far more interesting since Masa and Adams have shown up, of course with the news of women who were blaming the government for the disappearance of their newborn children that had…happened ten or so years ago was quite an interesting thing as well and yet, she believed still that it was a group trying to get attention trained on them by blaming others.
Pushing those thoughts in the back of her head Safrina made her way to her friends and placed a genuine smile on her lips, greeting them with as much warmth as she could muster. " Did any of you get your homework done?" Safrina questioned as she took a seat while they waited for the first bell to ring, signaling that school has started.
Chattering began to bustle through as they spoke amongst each other, and Safrina easily caught a glimpse of Masa's white hair while a look of deep thought filled their pale complexion. Safrina hadn't meant to stare though as her head drifted to look better at the new kid. They were quite pretty, with a touch of femininity as well as masculinity that made it hard to distinguish what their gender was, and Safrina couldn't help but find that memorizing from where she sat.
Soon enough though, Masa had quickly noticed that Safrina had been staring and she quickly snapped her head away from the newcomer, heat rushing through their face while the chuckles of her friends could be heard, yet before she could defend herself the bell rang and it was off to class they went.

Adam couldn't help but feel the urge to skip class, but he knew that if he did, he would be in a world of dealing with lectures and threats of packing up once more, being shipped off to another part of the country to try and start again. Tired eyes loomed across the room as the teacher talked on in his squeaky-pitched voice while the marker could be heard across the whiteboard writing down numerical numbers and mathematical problems.
He was quick to take a look behind him at the girl who had been staring at him from day one and it was getting to the point where the thought of her probably having a crush on him came to mind but Adams was quick to push that thought behind him while his attention went back to the teacher who continued to ramble on with his numerical teachings.
Adams found himself leaning his head into his hand while he listened, trying to stay focused as much as he could while the teacher continued on for what felt like hours. Soon enough though, the clock struck 10 and it was time to head to the next class, quickly he grabbed his notes for math and placed them neatly into his folders as well as the homework assigned for the night before snapping it shut and putting the important items into his bag, readying himself for the next class, kids crowding in the hallway making everything quite stuffy and slowing majority down when they only had a few minutes to get to their next classes before being marked as tardy.
