Chapter 22

A man with a tray full of medicines hurriedly walked towards a certain room. A woman whose uniform indicated that she was a nurse looked at the man and inquired "Hey! Who are you?! You do know that it's not allowed for residents to carry medicines without a receipt." The man who was carrying the medicine had an irritated look on his face.

He looked at the nurse and said " I don't have a receipt." When the woman heard the man's reply, she was taken aback. She looked at the man with an anger-filled expression and said "If you don't have the receipt that means you have not even paid for it!" Before the nurse could say anything further, the man looked at her and said "Hey listen! These medicines are for David sir! If you have any complaints about the way I am doing things you can directly go and talk to him."

When the nurse heard the man referring to David she did not say anything further and left that place as soon as possible. The man with the tray laughed a bit and walked towards a room. The man stopped in front of the door, he looked at his bracelet and after some time, a hospital ID badge was projected from it. The badge was scanned by the scanner on the door.

After the badge was verified the door in front of him opened. After the door opened he walked into the room while he said "Boss I am back with your medicines." When the man entered the room he couldn't see David on the bed instead he saw Naina on the bed taking a nap.

The man kept on looking around the room but he couldn't find David. After some time he saw David coming out of the washroom. He walked towards David and said, "I have kept your medicine, sir."

David looked at the man and asked "What happened to him?" When the man heard the question he couldn't understand David, David got angry and caught the man by his throat and said "Are you a fucking idiot?! I am asking about Raghav!! Was the plan executed properly?!"

When the man heard David he was afraid but he still said "Yeah! The police caught him just like we planned!... He must be in jail right now." When David heard the man he threw him down on the floor which broke the ground a bit. The man spit out blood and cried a bit in pain.

David looked at the bleeding man with anger and said "If you don't wanna die then get the fuck out of here!" Even though the man was in great pain he quickly got on his feet and ran away. Because of all the commotion, Naina had gotten up from her nap. When she looked at David who had a serious face on she walked over to him and asked "What's the matter, David? Are you still thinking about Raghav?"

David looked at Naina and said, "That weakling isn't even worth my thought!" David got up on his feet and walked up to his bed. After David reached his bed he thought "Was it just a misunderstanding? I remember that bastard punching me but not even Naina seems to remember!! Did the power grid just malfunction there?! (A common phenomenon in which the power grid of an area is not able to withstand the surge of the power supplied. This causes a wave of energy to pass. No one dies in this phenomenon due to their mutation.)
