Follow The Light

Cheng Xiu found herself in the void once more. There was no sign of the carp that usually led her to her level up but she was not afraid. It would appear when it wanted to. 

She waited for a few seconds, just adjusting her mind to the things that had happened so far. 

Her mind kept playing the scene at the seminar but that was not something that she wanted to think about. She had done enough of it already. 

Cheng Xiu took a deep breath as she realised that it might have been a few minutes since she had reached the area and yet the carp was not yet visible. One of the previous iterations of the Level Trail did have her taking the first step…should she try that once more?

She decided that she would. There was no use in waiting for it if it was taking so long to come to her. She would just have to go find it herself like she did before.

Her first step was into the void and then she was free falling into the dark abyss.

Fear gripped her heart.
