"Bam!"
The door closed behind. A woman with blonde hair that was tied to a ponytail and a busty figure walked out. Her shoulders dropped low. There were tears in her eyes.
She wanted to say a lot but no words was enough to explain what she felt.
Her lips might have no words but her eyes had many. She lifted her gaze to stare into the eyes of her smiling man. He had a vibrant and bright smile on him that eased her heart like always.
"Adonis, is this the only way?" She asked, looking up at her man.
He was the one she was worried about and why won't she be? An army of men was after his very life!
Adonis reached out to her cheek as he wiped off her tears.
But even if the teardrop had gone missing and merged with his touch he didn't stop caressing her. His hands slipped down to her neck turning it into something sensual.
"There is no other way, Miya. Not any that I know of. We don't have a choice. Either we fight back or we get obliterated." he whispered in melancholy but he made sure that his words reached her ears...
Zeus, the king of the olympian gods had his attention turned to Adonis thanks to his not-so-cool wife, Hera. Zeus was walking in the same footsteps as his father Chronos. He had got paranoid after knowing of the existence of a son who is prophesied to kill him.
Everything would have been right. Nothing would have gone wrong and Adonis could have lived his whole life in low key. But alas, Hera had the foresight and from that day hell began for Adonis.
'Now I have no option but to do my best to survive.'
Adonis wasn't sure whether Hera's claim was the real deal or a fallacy to trick Zeus. All he knew was that hell was waiting for him. Either he would be killed or he would be thrown to the depths of Tartarus.
Zeus was the king of all the Olympian gods. But he ruled on the others using fear alone. But a faction of gods who supported him was actively helping him in pursuing Adonis.
Gods were after him and so were their followers. They would stop at nothing until they kill him.
*Sigh*
Adonis could only cherish the last bits of moments he had before he died to their hands.
He wrapped his hands around Miya as his touch turned naughty. There was only so much time to make good memories. His touch which had suddenly turned sensual made Miya flinch.
She looked up at him with her eyes moist. Her pupils shook as they told him that this wasn't the right time to act so naughty.
But Adonis could only smirk. He was the son of Zeus. If he didn't live up to his father's name then what was the point?
*Cough*
A person coughed from inside the hut at the mountain top. He had more or less guessed that the couple were up to again and dared to remind Adonis of what he must do.
*Smooch*
Adonis left, giving a parting kiss to Miya. Miya watched as Adonis drifted inside, closing the door behind him. There was some important information to be shared and the one that was willing to do so didn't want Miya's presence in the room.
The person had thought that keeping it a secret from Miya would be better. He didn't know that Adonis kept no secrets from her.
*Bam*
Adonis came inside as his gaze fell on the man sitting on the chair across a table gulping his wine. He had stern pale grey eyes and his knee-length, straight, brown hair features a central parting. Sitting on his chair he had an aimless feel about him.
"Welcome, Adonis. Or should I call you a Mr. Demi- God?" The man asked.
Adonis smiled wryly.
Adonis's relation with Zeus had been a secret all along. Zeus would never allow his adulterous relations with other women to be revealed. Hera, his wife was always out to no good.
Adonis' ears twitched as his eyes scanned across the room.
The room had swords and shields hanging on the wall and wooden tables across. It appeared just like a hotel to share booze and eat one's heart out other than its lack of customers.
*Tap* *Tap*
Adonis walked closer as he sat opposite the man.
"Have you brought the material?" Adonis asked.
His eyes squinted as the flirty mood from before he had with Miya disappeared.
The man nodded. He unpacked the contents of the sack that he kept beside him. But even as he did so, didn't forget to gulp down a sip of his beer. It was a funny sight how he was holding his jug with one hand and emptying his sack with the other. He was rather carefree with everything and considered today's mission as just doing his job. Coming here alone was a pain in his ass.
The contents that he unloaded were rather strange. Several hieroglyphics and disc-shaped structures along with a book. But he had no interest in any of them
But Adonis did! It symbolized hope for his survival.
"You sure you are giving me the right stuff?"
Adonis's eyes squinted.
"Pal, I have no interest in any of this. Neither do I want to get involved. If not for that person I wouldn't have even acted as a delivery man."
The person that the man served as a rather troublesome one indeed. But he cannot defy her power. The man could only be curious as to what she had seen in Adonis to be endowing him with her grace.
"But it does leave me with curiosity," the man continued, "You are born of Zeus's blood. Zeus, Hera, Hermes, and who not is after you. There is no chance for your survival. Many like you had died to their fury before. Yet what makes you special to be catching her interest?"
Adonis sighed.
