Adonis's Powers

The mysterious man stared at the sighing Adonis as he was waiting for an answer to his question. Even though he had never met Adonis before Adonis had left him curious more than anyone else.

*sigh*

Adonis knew the answer to that question but he didn't want to reveal it. Indeed he was different from the other demiGods that had come before him in ways more than one. But will he survive? He doubts.

Adonis frowned. Who said that person was endowing Adonis with her grace? Adonis was sure she had her own interior motives. That person wasn't someone you would like to strike a deal with.

"I would have never associated with her either if I wasn't so desperate," Adonis claimed with flaring nostrils...

There was a lot to learn for the man from the very fact that Adonis was reluctant to put away the equipment in his bag. The man could only raise his brows as he saw Adonis sighing.

Adonis sighed all over again. Even if he gets anywhere closer to getting his ass saved from the Olympian Gods, this help today was sooner or later going to kill him.

'I just want to save Miya,' he reminded himself.

That was the only reason he wanted to persist. There was no hope for his own survival. But the gods won't stop at that. They would kill every person associated with Adonis and Miya too would follow suit. As a man how could he back off and leave his woman unprotected? If they wanted to harm her they would have to walk over his dead body!

That is why Adonis was forced to ask for help from 'that' person. An entity hated by the Olympian Gods and feared by many. Sooner or later he was going to die. Ever since Hera discovered his real identity he was fated to be driven to death.

But if he could save Miya with 'her' help then he would very much choose to do so.

"Farewell," Adonis packed his bag and tied the mouth with a rope.

Adonis bid farewell to the only man sitting at the table with him. The man was still drinking booze, uncaring of everything.

The only speck of curiosity he had, was refused to be satisfied by Adonis. The Olympian Gods were after Adonis. They were after his life and with his death, the answer to the man's question would be buried along with him.

"You didn't ask my question, O son of Zeus, Adonis." He shouted.

Adonis stopped in his tracks as his ears twitched. This man was probably the last normal person he was going to meet after this. A path ridden with fire waited for him. He couldn't help but want to converse with him a bit more. To remind himself what being a 'normal human' meant. To remind himself that he too once had a normal life.

'If only I wasn't his son, I could have lived happily with Miya,' Adonis thought as he looked towards the ceiling in melancholy.

*sigh*

*bam*

Adonis got out of the inn, shutting the door behind him. The inn itself was a rather unusual location for all Adonis could see was the stretching of a hill with his beautiful Miya lying in wait for him. Her hair fluttered as the wind blow creating a blissful sight that Adonis would never forget. He would always cherish it.

"Adonis?"

Miya ran up to him and hugged him with all she had got. She felt like every moment of separation was a curse. It felt like the Gods would take him away from her any moment.

"I am fine, Miya. You worry too much." He sighed as he ran his fingers across her golden hair.

She finally burst out her dam.

"Let's go, Adonis. We will escape to the end of the world. Somewhere they can never find us," She continued, "I don't want luxuries. I don't want anything. I just want you!"

Miya claimed.

Adonis smiled a wry smile. What could he say? Was that even possible? At least he had never heard of a place where the Gods can't reach.

'If only there was such a place.'

Adonis wasn't even sure where he was supposed to go now. But 'she' indeed had given him a road map to follow. And also the details in regards to the equipment, written in the form of a manuscript. Dictated by her and written by her slaves.

"Come on Miya we need to move. Before it is too late."

Indeed Adonis needs to reach under a safe roof first for who knows what might happen when?

Adonis took out a vial from his bag.

"Look at this Miya. It is 'her' blood. This vial is contained with primordial blood," Adonis claimed.

Indeed, the person who was helping Adonis was an Olympian Goddess herself. Even though she was of the same kin, she wasn't quite liked by the Olympians. Who knows what kind of ploy she was planning by helping Adonis here?

She had provided Adonis with a vial of her own blood. Doing so she had defied Zeus but the deal was made in absolute secrecy without Zeus's knowing. The man that had brought the delivery might look uncaring but he was the real deal!

Miya's gaze shifted to Adonis and then to the vial again and she knew what he meant.

Adonis was indeed an anomaly and this secret was known only by Miya and that wicked Goddess. No one else knew of the existence of Adonis's powers...
