CHAPTER 28: Circumago

I woke up almost immediately after. I got down to find Valek and Uncle Bael already sitting in my kitchen with mom serving pancakes to Uncle Bael.

"Good morning," Valek said while sipping on his hot coffee.

"Morning," I replied, still yawning because of the exhaustive night I spent.

Uncle Bael just glanced at me once and carried on eating his new love of life. I walked around the table towards the refrigerator to get some fresh milk. I found an open carton on the side rack. I picked it up and placed it on the table.

"Where's the bowl mom?" I asked mom while she was stirring some sort of soup with the wooden spoon.

"Look in the upper cupboard or the drawer below it," she replied. She picked up the box of salt, took a pinch out of it and sprinkled it over the soup.

Whatever she was making, one thing was for sure that it was never going to go in my stomach.
