CHAPTER 43: Aperire

For a time before he said all this, I had lost all of my hopes in myself and us too, but Valek, backing me up like this, made me feel so warm and light-hearted a lot less scared now.

"Thank you Valek, and you too Uncle Bael, both of you," I said with watered eyes.

Valek held my hand in both of his like if mine was a patty in between the buns and blinked his eyes, telling me that this is all going to be perfect. I nodded my head, assuring him that I was fine.

"We need to reach out to him right now. We can't waste a single second," Valek said after leaving my hand and turning towards Uncle Bael.

I looked towards Uncle Bael to see if he would say something in the current matter, but he remained silent only pointing towards the fact that there was no other option left for us to opt.

"Very well, but I'll drive," I said while coming forward and breaking up the awkward moment.

"Ok, if you want to," Valek said while walking towards the woods.
