Lily and I went to the Quester's Square. It looked as you would expect a medieval European town square to look like. There was a raised platform in the centre. In one corner of a square there was a large building that had the name 'Quester's Guild'. I noticed that even though it was written in a language that I hadn't seen before I could still read it.
We went to the well which was on the opposite side of the Square from the Quester's Guild. We got some water and drank it.
There were a number of odd people going in and out of the Guild. I asked Lily on our way back "Who are those people?"
She looked at me with a puzzled expression "How can you not know who Questers are?" she asked.
( Tell her that you lost your memories. )
"I told you I lost my memories. I woke up in the forest a few days ago and don't remember anything before that."
"Oh! I'm sorry I forgot." She said apologetically.
"Well never mind that. So what are Questers?"
We found another secluded alley and sat down there."Questers are people who as the name suggests complete quests."
"What kind of quests?"
"Um....anything really. As long as they get paid to do it of course."
'Payment' that word caught my attention.
"Quests can be anything you can do." She continued."Collecting herbs from the forest, killing monsters, acting as security escorts, etc. you get the idea."
"Ok. So are there different types of Questers?"
"Yes. The Questers are mainly divided into mages and warriors. The mages use magic and the warriors use brute strength and martial arts."
"Can anyone become a Quester?"
"Yeah but not everyone wants to. The risk of dying on the job are so high that you have a higher chance of surviving if you become a target at an archery club."
I stayed silent and pretended to think about it.
'So I'm supposed to become a Quester right?"
( Yup. )
'You copied this idea from another book'
( Yup. )
'And Lily's gonna be my partner in Questing.'
( Yup. )
'Are we supposed to register today?'
( Yup. )
