Final selection and nichirin blades

They arrive at final selection

"Wow Haru look how pretty these flowers are" tanjiro said as Haru came over and snatched 3 before anyone even tanjiro could notice

"Yeah they are pretty" Haru said "we'll come on tanjiro" he added as they walked up the stairs to see all of the people

They hear the girls talk and listen to what they have to say and then head into the forest

Haru and Tanjiro are running east when the smell a demon and Haru notices it's in the air so he grabs tanjiro and jumps back

"Found you" Haru says as he unsheathes his sword then he remembers 'wait didn't one come from behind' he then hears somethings and turns around to block an attack from a demon.

The demons then start fighting while Haru says he will go after the purple haired one and Tanjiro should go for the brown haired one

As the demons charged at them they both thought

Total concentration water breathing: first form water surface slash as they thought this they saw the thread and immediately dashed and sliced the demons head off.

"We did it haru we did it" tanjiro said happily

"No shit" Haru said annoyed that they weren't stronger "well let's get going" Haru said as a few seconds later he smelled an awful smell and knew exactly what it was 'the hand demon' he thought.

Tanjiro and Haru quickly got behind a tree as they watched the hand demon come past them with a child in hand as it ate the child whole the kid ran and the hand demon grabbed him.

Haru wouldn't allow this though as he unsheathes his katana and watches at tanjiro attacks to save the boy Haru them steps out in front of the demon he would let him do his monologue but after that he would cut his head off he was the one who had killed sabito and makomo.

He looked at tanjiro who was scared and put a hand on his shoulder he heard the demon say "when I told the girl she started crying and fell into a rage" after that Haru thought 'water breathing first form: water surface slash' after this he immediately rushed towards the demon who was now shooting hands at him as he got to the top he put all of his strength in the move as the hand demon noticed this he tried putting more hands to stop Haru but he couldn't he barely even felt his head slide off the only indication was him seeing upside down all he could think was 'urokodaki'.

"No no no" he screamed as he watched his body disappear but inside he was screaming for his brother

Tanjiro heard this and held his hand as the demon cried Haru wasn't one for sending them off with kindness that was tanjiros Job.

'Sabito makomo you can rest' Haru thought

We see Haru and Tanjiro running threw the forest slaying demons but Haru allowing tanjiro to ask the demons if he could turn a demon back into a human there were no responses but they finally made it after slaying 30 demons on the way there.

The next morning where they get their nichirin blades

"There are only 5 of us Haru" tanjiro said sadly "I couldn't save him that boy" tanjiro added guiltily as he got an angry look from Haru who grabbed him by the shoulders and told him "it's not your fault he ran away like a coward there was nothing you could do we were fighting the biggest demon in final selection so snap out of it"

"I-I-ok" tanjiro said feeling a bit happier

"Also I have a gift for you" Haru said as he put his hand in his pocket and handed tanjiro the wisteria which was somehow in perfect condition.

Tanjiros eyes lit up as he thanked Haru and put it in his pocket.

They hear zenitsu saying he's gonna die and decide to ignore it

Then they hear "congratulations everyone were pleased to see your safe"

Then genya (I think that's his name) says "so I survived what now"

Then the talk about the ranks and ores and stuff

They then get their crows as genya does what he does and grabs the girl by the hair which prompts Haru to unsheathe his sword and put it to his neck

"Haru" tanjiro says as he comes over and threatens to break genyas arm so genya out of fear takes his hand of her hair

As the girl shows the ores

And they all pick their ores.

Then head back to my.Sagiri but eventually tanjiro starts limping so Haru puts him on his back and gets them there in time for tanjiro to see nezuko. As the have an emotional moment and hug urokodaki.

They then share their experiences with urokodaki.

The next day haru remembers the shop and says "shop" as a menu appears and he thinks 'do I get a starter pack or something'

'Yes master you do would you like to open it'

'Of course I would' as Haru thought that a pack appeared and cut

The system then said "accessory gained, 20,000 shop points gained, skill gained observer, ability unlocked able to use multiple breathing styles"

'Wow that's pretty good' Haru said

'It is master' the system replied

'What is the accessory' Haru asked

'An earring here I will put it in your hand so you can put it on'

'Thanks' Haru said as he put the earring on and went back to tanjiro

"Woah were did you get that Haru" tanjiro asked

"Well will you were sleeping on my back the entire walk back from final selection" Haru said while staring into tanjiros eyes

15 days later

Tanjiro and Haruto (his name will be Haruto from now on it just makes more sense tanjiro will still call him Haru tho) are walking home from training when they see a man in front of the house

"Hey sir are you lost?" Tanjiro would ask

"No I'm not and I'm looking for Tanjiro and Haruto" the man said

"Oh that's us" tanjiro told him

Then the man goes on his rant about the scarlet ore

Then he tells tanjiro "hey your a child of brightness aren't you how lucky"

"Well my parents weren't named brightness" tanjiro said as everyone looked at him dumbfounded

"He talking about your hair color and eyes plus-" Haruto stopped himself from revealing what he knew about tanjiros childhood "there's a chance the sword will turn red" Haruto added

Inside

"Alright Haruto its time to see what color they are" tanjiro says smiling bright enough to lighten the house

As Haruto drew the sword the first the he took note of was the hand guard it was Rectangular shaped with 5 hollowed rectangles at each corner all being different colors.

Next thing he noticed was the hilt had 5 little diamond shaped places going up the hilt all different colors.

The next thing was the color of the blade it was very dark blue and it had something engraved in it, it said changes.

"It's pretty cool" Haru said

"That's awesome let's look at mine now" tanjiro said as he pulled out his canon blade

And the man jumped on him after a few seconds of fighting they heard the crow say "tanjiro, Haruto I bring you orders you must go to a town northwest of here and hurry young girls are disappearing night after night at least one of them vanishes you must hunt down the demon who does this Haruto and Tanjiro prepare yourselves well this is your first assignment as demon slayers"
