"Why am I here? What do you want from me?" Her fear shimmered through, but he did not answer.

They gave her privacy as they stepped away. Once changed, Tau called her. "We will stop for food once we are in a secure area." He handed her an energy bar, which she gladly took.

Tau opened the back door, but she jerked from his grip.

"You will understand when we get to our destination."
