Part 2: Chapter 29: An inhuman state

It had been seven days since he had seen her, her state nothing like her. Roger released him on day two. He woke in a cage of agony. His fury knew no bounds. He could kill him.

"Where is Sonia?" he insisted upon his release.

"She can rot longer in there," Roger proclaimed once he met him.

"That is inhuman. She does not deserve this treatment."

"She should learn who is in control of this camp."

"What happened to the 'we should treat her like a guest' scenario?"

"She runs my camp as if she is in charge. I will not stand for it," Roger huffed and continued with his work.

He had stomped to her hut when he woke. The guards refused him any entry and he went straight to Roger.

Roger kept him busy with things not befitting his station. Once he could, he paced her hut day and night not knowing how she fared. The hut quiet as a tomb. He tried to remove some obstacles around her hut, but was stopped each time. Even Baaka could not visit her. Now, this.
