Part 2: Chapter 36: Was Sonia safe?

"This woman is causing me many problems," Roger said when an eerie silence descended.

Tau watched as Sonia disappeared before he returned his attention back to his former leader and friend. Kwame’s leg needed medical care, but he felt nothing for him. His betrayal outweighed what he just did and dismissed him.

"Why?"

"Idil offered money for her." Tau took him aside. His anger simmered.

"What did you do?"

"We need the money!" Roger shouted. Tau had never felt so many emotions of anger as that moment. The realization of what Roger did left him nauseated.

"She is not for sale, Roger!" he forced between clenched teeth.

"She is my property. I will do with her what I wish." Nose to nose they glared at each other. Friends had turned into enemies.

"She is mine," he hissed out. "I took her as my wife last night," spittle hitting Roger's face.

"It's arranged." Roger hissed back.

"No!" Tau threw a punch. Then a shot rang out, which stopped them abruptly.
