"What did you do?"
'What did I do?' I thought. I looked at Morai, and my eyes went wide. "Look.. I can explain really." I said to her looking away. Her face became red. I knew she'd call my mother as soon as I told her everything that happened last night.
"Diana! Are you trying to risk our true nature? You can get us into serious trouble with Zeus!" She whisper-yelled to me, while looking around. I sighed not really caring what my father would say. "So? I'm already abandoned why do I care if I get into more trouble?" I said daring her own crazed-look. She put a hand to her head and sighed, "Great Hera."
As soon as Morai said that I had a pleasant idea. "Morai. Let's go home." She looked at me even more crazed.
"WHAT!?" She yelled at me. "We are not going home unless your Mother, our Queen calls. Do you understand?" Morai said looking around then talking to herself. "And yet Dioni asks me to watch over her eldest daughter.." Morai looks at me again. "Go out. Get some fresh air."
So as Morai had said, I went outside. The birds were chirping, the sun was out, and my life felt like a dream. Everywhere I looked, it looked as if it was some sort of brainwashed spell. People smiling having no cares in the world. I smiled a bit. I knew though that someone was watching me. Perhaps it was just that unknown feeling one gets. Or perhaps I just knew the feeling, oh so well.
Going down the one-way street I looked behind me. Seeing a person I knew too well. "Amara?" I whispered, when we bacame face-to-face. She looked at me then smiled, but sadly. "Dianu, my child." She said. Her gray-streaked blonde hair was in a ponytail. Her blue eyes shining with sadness. My eyes held small tears as I went to hug her. "Aunt Amara.." I said smiling. My joy was over the roof. I'd rather be in her arms then face the world right now. Or even face my father.
"Look at how you grown.. My you do look like your mother." Amara said, her breath slowly trailing out as she said as much. I looked into her eyes while pulling away from the hug. "What are you doing here Aunt Amara? I have to know. Normally no god or goddess is supposed to come after one, after they've been banned." I said putting my head down in shame. She shook her head. "Come. Let's go to that diner. I'll talk to you there my little one."
I shook my head alright and there we went. To the little diner that was full of relics that to an open eye would be disgusting.
Amara.
The only one I new who would tell me the truth, and not lie to me. The only one who would make sure I got back to my home, and in the safety of my mother's rule. The problem was did Aunt Amara know, I'm the one who decided to leave after my 'banishment'?
So, there I sat with Amara, the one and only woman who taught me my every fighting move, and the one who brought me up.
