Chapter 25 Noelle

What the hell did I just experience? Is something off? Something is off but what?

Audum pulls out his car and the gate opens wide as we leave the so-called "mansion".

I've been staring at him for over a minute now and he's dead.

Am I supposed to start a conversation? Like he owes me some explaination? Hello? Audum the Reed? He's so quiet and seems consumed by other thoughts as we're driving down the road.

Oh my god why is it always a struggle to speak to this guy?! I don't wanna say something that will trigger him for as moody as he is, he'll leave me on the road in this darkness.

But like I wanna know what's good. UGGGH

Nevermind. I'll ask him tomorrow.

I knock at the dorm door and Zeroni pops, "Hiiii" she hugs me and I'm way too tired for her bubbly energy.

"So, what's good?", She eats crackers and offers me the same.

"I just wanna sleep", I tell her and go straight to the bathroom. She must think, I'm high but really, can't talk to people right now.

Here we go, the teeth-cleaning, face washing and stuff.

Now that I'm in the bed, can we just take a moment to analyse what on the fucking earth just happened.

Audum takes me to his house; he has a pretty weird family excluding the father who's probably the only sane person amongst the "Reeds". We're all good and chitty-chatty and as I approach to leave, he disapproves of it and starts to practically stop me from leaving.

Reece pops up from nowhere and offers me dinner which I never ate. And what's even weirder- Audum Reed himself vanishes and suddenly has a change of mind about my presence there after his return. "I wiLl dRoP yOu hOme". He speaks nothing throughout the whole drive and even leaves without meeting his so called girlfriend.

So why was I there? What the heck even. I need to ask Feebs and Bertha tomorrow. Gotta take a nap.

I'm looking at Bertha and Feebs who are still processing my little trip to Audum's den.

"Alright alright", Bertha finally speaks.

"He randomly told you to get in the car and you seated your ass onto his car seat?"

"Not this argument right now B" Feebles replies before I could say anything.

"How I look at it is that isn't it strange that both of the Reed brothers wanted you to stay but after Audum came back, suddenly no one cared about your presence?"

"I know right" I pound the café table and get up, "That is what I need and want to figure out. Like what happened with them that their attitude towards me flipped entirely."

"Was anyone or anything outside the house that perhaps they didn't want you to see?" Bertha adds and I take a look at Feebs.

"Could be" Feebs shrugs.

"We don't know what it is but something's fishy", I turn around and praise be to god, Audum is standing right there, behind my gossiping ass.
