The Thirty Seventh

[Back To Current Time Nemesis POV]

Once I led everyone to the center of the arena to announce the matchup I stopped everyone for a moment.

"Alright everyone before I announce what the matchup will be for today, there is someone I would like to introduce to you all." I paused for a moment to see their reactions. Some had curious looks while others looked around for someone but couldn't find them. After a little bit longer I spoke up again.

"Alright I think that is enough suspense and waiting for all of you, come on out Nora!" The very moment I said her name a dark cloud appeared around my shoulder, after a second it faded, and she appeared there sitting on my shoulder while smiling and waving. Everyone got a good look at the fact that she had the same eye and hair color as me and Divinus but she had very long hair that was tied into a braid. After a moment she turned her head sideways while looking at me with a questionable look.

There was a brief moment of silence before it was broken by Mary who asked the question I was waiting for.

"My lord might I ask who this young lady on your shoulder might be?" After she asked, I gave her a quick response that surprised everyone.

"She is my daughter. Before anyone asks any questions, as to where she came from or how I'll explain it to you all. She was raised and trained in the dungeon hence the reason even if you didn't notice I was gone for most nights before coming back before anyone would notice. Although I am sure some of you have noticed but just didn't say anything. Nora is special in a sense that I didn't choose what she would be when she was breathed into existence. She may have been raised differently but I want her to be treated the same as Divinus would around all of you." I paused for a moment to look at everyone and see all of them nodding except for Divinus and Sicarius who haven't dropped their surprised expressions yet.

"Now that that is taken care of I would like someone to volunteer to spar against her in a match. It obviously won't be an official match since the real tournament is coming soon." When I finished I gave everyone a few minutes to decide on who would spar against her. In truth I really just wanted to show her off to everyone because she was so powerful I'm fairly sure she would even give Elaine a run for her money if she wasn't careful. It goes to show that levels aren't always the deciding factor in a fight although most of the time it is. I took a seat and just watched as my subordinates argued with each other with such eagerness because they really wanted to fight with Nora. Yet none of them would spar against me given the chance let alone actually fighting me. Oh well I know that there are beings in this world more powerful than me but I will rise with my clan to become the strongest in the world.

After waiting for about 20 minutes they decided to settle it with rock-paper-scissors, which genuinely surprised me. I thought they would resort to fighting it out but maybe they didn't want to waste their energy if they managed to win. Well I guess it's up to luck now to see who would be fighting her. I found it comical and somewhat calming to see my clan have some non-lethal fun like this. I gave a genuine smile at this scene and everyone looked at me for a moment before continuing their matches. Not long after they started the winner was already decided and much to my surprise the winner was Divinus. Was it rigged? I kind of wanted someone else to fight her but I guess a sibling match is alright. I'm not sure why but the very moment Nora hopped off of my shoulder I felt a strong feeling of anger emanating from her. Maybe she feels a sense of jealousy or hatred towards him. Only time will tell, let's see how this match will turn out.

[POV Change To Divinus]

The very moment that a person appeared on Father's shoulder out of nowhere I couldn't help but be surprised. However what made my mouth drop was the fact that she had the same hair color and eyes as me and Father. Her hair was down to her back and she had a bosom that didn't match her body size. When Father stated that this was my sister I cursed the dirty thoughts I had in my mind about her but they kept coming. I mean why wouldn't I like a female version of someone that looks as good as me? Ok stop it Divinus, you were taught better than this. You should have expected siblings to appear at some point and stop going instantly to the gutter of your mind. I just helplessly stared at her ignoring most of Father's short explanation about her. Sicarius wasn't any better off than I was except I'm pretty sure he had a more worried face at the fact that he needed to guard another person.

The biggest and only important thing I heard Father say was that he wanted someone to volunteer to fight Nora. The moment he said that my blood started boiling thinking about how powerful of an opponent she would be completely ignoring everything else I was thinking before. Everyone was arguing with each other since they were itching to fight her. It's not like I don't understand that feeling, the moment I see an opportunity for a fight that would push me past my limits I would jump towards it with all of my strength. After everyone settled down and decided on rock-paper-scissors I swiftly beat everyone at it since it was a game of luck. I happened to have the highest luck stat so lucky me. When Father saw that I was the winner he backed away and Nora hopped off of his shoulder. Everyone else went to sit in the spectator seats as the two of us prepared to fight each other.
