Chapter 2

~ In Crystal's first-class ever ~

Narrator POV:

Crystal sits and listens to the best of her ability, because, even if she wouldn't say it aloud for anybody to hear, she's pumped for classes, it's the first time she has such a chance, to be in a school, with different people, students and teachers alike, it's her chance, to be normal.

Crystal POV:

''Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution--more popularly known as the Faunus War--" I hear Professor Oobleck say as he zooms up to the front of the class and back to the map behind his desk.

"--humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie." I see him pointing at the map of the said area with his teacher stick, why do they have to have those, is beyond me. Then he zooms off to the side, just so he could sip of his coffee before appearing in front of the desk.

"Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!"

Why is he zooming around the classroom so much, wouldn't it be easier just to sit at his desk and drink his coffee? Can't believe I'm saying this, but he might need to take a trick from Ozpin's book. Maybe it has something to do with his semblance...maybe not.

"Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated against because of your Faunus heritage?"

I raise my hand the moment that question left his mouth, if discrimination means for me to be a lab rat... lab fox, then I definitely fit that description.

As I look around the area really quickly, I see a few other hands and also the hand of the cute bunny from yesterday, she seems so shy, so cute, how could somebody hurt such a creature, the world is truly unfair.

I should've walked up to that son of a bastard yesterday and add insult to injury by stepping on his family jewels, haaah, what a lost opportunity.

"Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence!"

Does he get his coffee stash from Ozpin? Can't be, pretty sure Ozpin is too greedy to share his coffee with somebody.

"I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War?"

I have no idea, I barely even know what White Fang even is, even less about the wars of some kind, so I hope I never get called to answer anything, don't want to lose my charm, I don't think many would find stupidity an appealing feature... I am not one of those people, even stupid people can give great advice sometimes because they live in a different perspective from a so-called 'smart' person. Oh, Weiss raised her hand, yes, privileged Schnee, give me that juicy information.

''The battle at Fort Castle'' Even if my instincts gave her a 5... her voice could definitely get me in the mood.

"Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" Oobleck continues.

As I look at the teacher, I see the worthless orange flicking a paper football at Jaune's head, causing him to wake up. I wish he missed, but it seems this school has some good doctors... nurses? Whatever, the trash has healed enough to not miss, sad.

"Hey!" Jaune perks up.

I see Oobleck zooming over into Jaune's face.

"Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?"

"Uhhhh... The answer... The advantage... that the Faunus..."

Jaune stutters while looking behind Oobleck to see Pyrrha, who seems to be trying to help him by coughing and motioning her hands over her eyes in what seems to be glasses... I think.

"...had over that guy's stuff... Uhh... Binoculars''

While Jaune looks pleased with his answer, the class laughs at him and Oobleck sips his coffee. Pyrrha sighs and slaps a hand to her forehead as the trash pounds his fist on his desk while chortling. I wish I knew what the class is about... I will definitely need somebody's help, otherwise, I will fail all of my classes.

"Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!"

Oh... So the name of the worthless wimp is Cardin... Yeah no, Trashin will be his name. I would say something for the class to laugh at him... But I don't want the teacher's attention on me. What a dilemma.

"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier''

HOW DARE HE, I GROWL, loudly at him, which snaps most of the people's eyes in class to me, but them seeing me glaring at Cardin makes them look away. While Cardin is starting to sweat and fear is rising, I can feel it, smell it. How I wish that I could just kill him and be done with it, but no, he needs to suffer, suffer just like the victims of his useless god-complex did. Just you wait, I will get my hands on you, you get to enjoy your shitty life a little bit more.

"You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?" Asks Pyrrha while Oobleck shakes his head.

"What? You got a problem?" Cardin snaps at her while faking his over masculine bravado.

"No, I have the answer! It's night vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly-perfect sight in the dark." Cardin growls at the correct response.

Oh... Well, I am way over beyond the point of being stupid... Of course... Nightvision. Thank my wife I didn't get asked to answer.

"General Lagune was inexperienced and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured." Blake says then turns to Trash "Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure''

As the epitome of garbage gets up from his dumpster of a seat, with his fist clenched ready for a battle that he would no doubt lose, he's like, extra weak, it almost makes me regret my thoughts about him... Who am I kidding, he deserves all of it.

"Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat." The professor says. Making Jaune laugh at Cardin's embarrassment.

"You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings."

Oobleck adds while sipping his coffee yet again, how has it not ended yet? Yet another mystery, I want to solve.

"Oohhhh..." Jaune cries out slumping his shoulders."Now! Moving on!" Professor zooms out.
