CHAPTER 25

Evlyn POV

So here I am, stepping on the puddle of rainwater to hear the splash sound and soaking my only pair of shoes in the process after putting my shopping bag in Shivaay's car, which was safely parked beneath the roof.

The pleasant earthy smell caught my attention soon after I was out of sight of the roof, and I looked up to find a gloomy sky that had darkened into gravel-grey. In a matter of seconds, the rain began to form a magnificent pattern on my body, and I lifted my hands, eager to feel the raindrops kiss my skin. The water is slowly draining a smidgen of my body heat.

Humph, I've often wondered why some people despise playing or standing in the rain. Why do people feel the need to run away from this breathtaking natural beauty as if it were a threat?
