Being unable to utter a word, she quickly ended the call and threw her phone on the bed as if it burned her. Everything she had been trying to avoid was happening before her eyes and she didn't know how to digest it.

Doubts soon arose in her mind that blurred her reasoning.

But who was she trying to fool?

She feared that she had lost it a long time ago. And every question in her mind felt like a shot.

Why would Elliot have done such a thing? Could it be that when Kloe had woken up she had looked for her and pleaded with Elliot to call her?

She cupped her face in her hands in a fit of frustration as she balanced on her axis. No, Elliot was not aware of the past they had shared, if he knew he would come to try to buy her silence at most, but he did not know it and that was the advantage she was going take.

She wouldn't put her daughter on the line for another child like Elliot has on his occasion.
