IV: Expanding horizons Part 2

We crossed the gates that led outside to a world I hadn't visited before…primarily due to my lack of interest. I had zeroed my mind on my cultivation and finding my beloved, and I had taken an interest in little else.

‘Maybe I should widen my horizons. After all, Selene said that our mission was to unite the people. How could I do that if they don’t know or respect me? No. Something must change.’ Looking around, I noticed the state of things. Despite living close to the palace, people were poor and malnourished due to the lack of resources all around. Yet she was a royal princess and never wanted for food or drink, even if they were very basic. ‘Perhaps, instead of focusing on making the army stronger, I could do something for the people. I remember choosing manual to aid in the development of plants in hard terrains…and it was much simpler than explaining how I know about smithing techniques.’
