Rebirth and Reincarnation

After a few moments, I began hearing raised voices from outside the forge; I recognized Gu Yi, but not so the others. Fearing that they might find me again, I curled up, trying to become as small as possible, while I regained my senses. 


Deciding to be brave was one thing, but being so in the face of genuine danger was an entirely distinct thing. I closed my mind until, little by little, conscience won over panic, and Selene’s voice came immediately into focus. 


‘Not to push you, but you should really think or reasserting your wood-breathing. We don’t know how long Yi will entertain them, if at all. You will need your strength to reach the palace.’ 


‘I do. Just follow my instructions and we’ll be alright.’ 


In order to calm my troubled mind, I concentrated on my breathing technique. And I couldn’t help but smile when I heard my beloved’s words to me when I was only just beginning this journey. 


“Feel the flow, bask in the element.” He had said.
