Rebirth and Reincarnation

‘Kidnapped…?’ I was familiar with the term, of course, but it still took me a moment to realize what it was happening. 


I turned my head to stare at my surroundings, discovering that the cloth draped around my body was a dirty sack. 


‘I…why are you so calm!?!?’ I felt a stab of panic. 


In my mind, I saw Selene shrug ‘This is hardly our first. What intrigues me, however, is how, whomever has taken us dealt with Bao Hu, who was supposed to be watching over us.’ 


‘Perhaps, but not when there is danger of falling and landing on your head. I say we wait for an opportunity.’ 


She was so calm that my mind calmed down greatly. I made the decision to prepare myself to fight once I was finally placed on the ground. The kidnapper likely expected to deal with a scared child and not a wannabe cultivator, which meant that I would have an opportunity as soon as the bag was removed from my head.
