Retelling my story took far longer than I had expected, but the experience helped me put things into perspective and notice just how much I had changed in the intervening years. If truth be told, I didn’t know if I would recognize myself in a mirror if I were to look.
Curiously enough, Yin and Odtsetseg ‘ooed’ and ‘booed’ together as I went on. Seeing them together like that made it clear to me that my little dragon was a part of Shen Mu.
And speaking of which.
“I’ll stop there for now.”
“Noooooo! I want to know what happened on the snowy mountain!” Bemoaned Odtsetseg.
“Yeah! You can’t just stop mid-tale!” whined Yin, bobbing its head in time with the girl.
“No, we’ll stop there because we need to address Huo Long before we run out of time. Odtsetseg, Di Qiu Long said that your father was influenced by the dragon who was closer to him… do you know how that works?”
The girl shook her head.
