Break through your limits Part III

I rose early the following morning, prisoner of a bout of nervous energy. Having felt such only once or twice in my life, I knew that this was a momentous day. The first day I had ever felt like this was when I realized that if I did nothing, my brothers would destroy the empire with the way they acted; the second time was right before I was married to Huang Mei, my queen and first wife. If I survived this day like I hoped, then I was sure that I would remember it just as vividly.

As if I had conjured it with my thoughts, Mei opened the door to my chambers.

Only she was so brazen as to break protocol with me. But she was assured that my love for her was greater than my love for protocol. She stood at the door, staring at me as I sat in my room, already dressed in my black armor minus the helmet.
