Chapter 179

Zelus sat in his study, waiting for his guest.

Stirring the tea that sat on his desk he looked up as the large grandfather clock struck midnight.

'Being rather dramatic?' He asked lifting the cups to his lips.

On the twelfth bong a swirl of grey and green smoke appeared and in its place formed an Elf, it's skeletal self standing proudly in the study.

The Elf spoke first, "You called?" He said his voice making Zelus's ears twitch.

Keeping his composure he replied in the affirmative, "I do believe I have something of your interest."

"We no longer wish to be in your debt, you will do us no more favours, Lycan." The Elf spat.

"I do believe you mean Alpha, but I will not take offence." Zelus watched the Elf, pondering how to phrase his words carefully.

"I have the key to your most recent conquest," Zelus could see the change in the Elf's demeanour, "The key to, shall we say, the Haven?"

His study went silent as he waited for the Elf's suspected reply.

"Where is it?" The Elf hissed.

Zelus blinked his eyes in discomfort from the Elf's voice, "My brother, as I'm sure you've met him, he was at the battle you so recently undertook."

"Which one?" The Elf asked.

"Alastor."

"Which one's that?"

Zelus sighed, "The one who can command ice."

The Elf nodded showing he finally understood. Zelus continued, "My brother you see, he's recently told me that his spy in our other brother, Thresh's Pack, has told him some interesting information."

"And what would this information be?" The Elf asked craning his head to the left.

"That Alpha Thresh has had a son. Now, my brother, Alastor, told me that the son's name is the key to getting into this Haven of yours."

"And how do I get this key? Tell me the son's name!" The Elf's screeched.

"Hmm, I'm afraid that I can't say. You see my brother, Alastor, did not want to say it, he likes to tease and be annoying." Zelus answered picking up his teacup.

"Then how do I get the key?" The Elf asked impatiently. Recently the Elves had discovered that whatever was causing the barrier around Thresh's Pack to be weak and allow their general through, it had been stopped and the barrier was the same as before, if not stronger. The Elf thought for a second that if the Fae had been pregnant she could've been weak in her magic. His thoughts were dispelled by the Lycan answering.

"Alastor said that his spy said that, the only people who know the name were the Alpha, Luna, Beta, the Beta's mate, and-"

"Did you say the Beta's mate?" The Elf interrupted.

"Yes, I did." Zelus replied, confused.

The Elf smiled darkly, "Then I bid you goodnight. We will contact you when we will cash in on our debt."

Zelus smirked and the Elf was gone.

~~~
The Elf that we'd previously seen was named Ti-sir, he walked proudly through the halls of the home that Zelus had given to them, they still had not yet found a way to get out of this debt, and the Lycan stubbornly continued to call it in. They would have to end him soon, but to do that would arouse suspicion and their home m could be found out.
Arriving at his destination he knocked.
The Lady Nerwin answered the door, "My Lady, I'm looking to speak to Lord El-kor." He said.
The door opened wider and Lord El-kor stood behind it.
The two walked through the halls and to their conference room.
"What did he want?" The general asked upon entering the room.
"He has great news." Ti-sir replied, "He said that he has the key to getting past the magic in the Haven that blocks us."
El-kor stopped in pouring his drink and looked at the lower Elf intrigued, "Indeed, and how did he come by it?"
"I will bore you with the details later, but I do believe you'll want to know this. The key was given to many of the Lycans, and one of them happens to be your human girl."
El-kor smiled evilly at the news and soon he had formulated a plan where he would get what he wanted, and his king would get what he wanted.
