Chapter 180

"That's an adorable name, and one that suits Thresh's son." I said happily clasping my hands together.

Charm's smile widened. She looked exhausted, I never knew how mothers could introduce their children just after giving birth.

We wished the new parents goodbye and headed back to our homes.

I collapsed on the bed once I changed into my pjs and Raph soon came to lay down next to me.

He hugged me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder, his breath fanning my neck.

-We should have kids.- He all of a sudden said.

I jolted and turned to look at him, "What?"

"Well, I want kids." He said looking away from me, his ears were tinting red.

I folded my lips, "Oh, honey. I want kids too, but don't you think it's too soon? We've only been married for five months."

He smiled and his ears turned redder, I stroked his cheeks, "I want kids too. We'll talk about it in the morning."

The days passed with ease and I began to help Raph with his work again, and host a children's daycare every Thursday at our house. The turnout was small but I still got to see the little children's faces.

"What is he doing now?" Raph asked on the other side of the bed one morning.

"Mmm… I think he's playing with a hair elastic." Our cat has kept us up all night and been driving us both crazy.

"Why?"

I smiled and said "Oh, shush Raphael, it's not like he's trying to kill you."

"Is he trying to drive me insane?" He said in a sleepy voice.

I smirked and rolled over, "Oh, I can't wait till we have kids that will keep you up all night long." He didn't reply, "Raph, you still awake?"

"Yeah."

I closed my eyes and went back to sleep, "Mmh…"

The day went as usual, we worked in the office, cooked and ate. At around two in the afternoon Thresh called and said that he wants us both at his house in his office.

I whined but went.

Charm opened the door, looking a little frazzled.

"Hey, Charm." I said with a smile.

"Hi." She replied, "Griffin has just gone down for his nap." She said proudly.

I smiled, I always loved watching new parents decide how they're going to raise their children, in my job I got to see a lot of that.

We walked up the stairs to Thresh's office and knocked, "Enter."

Walking in, we found that it was just the three of us.

"Sit." He said still looking at the phone in his hands.

We sat on the armchairs in front of the desk, waiting.

Thresh looked back to his normal self, his hair was gelled back and his suit was neat and tidy. He finally looked up from his phone and observed each of us carefully. His eyes landing on Raph he spoke, "My brother has contacted me."

I wanted to question which one but I was sure I would be answered soon.

Thresh continued, "He wishes to know why my packs are making strange movements. And he wishes to know more about the Elves as they've been attacking some of his packs."

"Why would Elves attack him?" The Haven wasn't anywhere near any of his brothers, except Dart but he already seemed acquainted with Elves.

"I do not know… and that is what I wish to find out." He said straightening himself in his chair, "Raphael I will need use of your mate."

I tensed and saw pure anger on Raph's face, "Alpha." He said his chest heaving, "My mate, has been through enough with you. I will not let her go anywhere without me." I could tell he was struggling not to burst. I reached over and held his hand, he held mine back, his gold eyes still smouldering.

"You," Thresh said slowly, I could see he was also angry, "Will stay here and protect my mate and son. I will be taking three Lycans with me." He said as though that should sate Raph.

Raph's hand shook and I watched both men carefully. After a long silence Thresh said that we were leaving in three hours. Raph growled and left the room.

"Are you not going to yell?" Thresh asked because I stayed seated. I looked at him, I thought that fatherhood would change him, but it hadn't.

"No. I let my mate defend me." I said as I stood and headed for the door, rolling my eyes and clenching my fists I turned back, "But he can't. You stop him from defending because of your f-" I stopped myself from swearing, "Because you're his stupid Alpha, and you're a crappy one at that. How would you feel if Raph never let you defend you're mate."

I could see his grey eyes spark, "Do you know why I am Alpha?" He asked darkly.

"I'm no idiot Thresh. It's obvious that you're an Alpha, your personality, your cruelness and heartlessness, your lack of empathy and tunnel-vision. It's sick!" I stormed out of the room and heard a growl behind me. I knew I shouldn't have insulted him but erghhh!

I walked back home and searched for Raph. I found him swimming in our pool.

Sitting down on the tiled floor I pulled my knees up and hugged them against my chest as I waited for him to finish his laps.

I had my way of cooling down and he had his.

When he was done he swam to where I was sitting and looked up at me.

"I don't think anything I said helped." I muttered into my knees.

He placed his wet hands on my toes and smiled softly, I knew he was still angry and he was smiling for me, "I doubt anything could change his mind."

I pouted and we just stayed in those positions silently.

When he climbed out of the pool I just stood and watched him. He was sinfully beautiful.

He turned and smirked, "Enjoying the view?" Then he laughed.

I smacked his bare chest when he came in reach, "You gotta stop using that line, but yes. Yes, I am." I said as I kissed the spot between his pectoral muscles.

Looking up at him he cradled my head and lowing his he met my lips with a sensual need that made me dizzy.

He carried me to the spare bedroom and leaving the door open he shamelessly loved me.

After our passionate intercourse we retired to our living room and turned on Netflix.

"What would you like to watch?" He asked as I snuggled next to him.

"Mmm… I have an idea, we start a series then finish it when I get back."

He kissed my forehead, "Sounds perfect."

We selected "The Great" and laughed our way though.

"I don't want to go." I said while I was packing my clothes.

He hugged me from behind, "I don't want you to go."

Both our hearts filled with fear, anxiety, anger at a certain Alpha and the hope of seeing each other again we hugged and kissed the other goodbye.

I climbed into the car that sped me to the airport where Alpha—f*****g—Thresh was waiting.
