THE EXISTENCE

"Hi honey! How was your day?" YJ crumpled his letter and stood with hands behind the back as he heard his mother's calling.

"You are sweating head to toe." Mom wiped the sweat off her son's face on her sleeve.

"I just need to go to the bathroom." YJ flushed his letter down the toilet.

"Where are you?" Sam called YJ. He was furious when he Learned YJ had left.

"I'm home." YJ responded.

"How did you get there?"

" I took a taxi." YJ answered.

"I told you to wait. Leela and you are giving me headache." Sam sounded annoying.

" Sorry. Something came up, anyway, I was about to leave, I'm fine." YJ consoled him.

"How did you know there was a tracking device?" YJ failed to think of it until Sam mentioned it.

"Um... I saw some girls were roaming around the vehicle. I did not see their faces." YJ invented a story.

Another ambulance arrived on the scene with it's siren wailing. The walls of hospitals have heard more prayers than the wall of churches.

Sasha acknowledged the existence.

Sasha ran into a little girl who nearby began to whimper, lost her way.

"You see me, right?" She was sobbing inconsolably as she looked Sasha in her eyes.

"Yep, but.... you?" Sasha pointed to her. Their encounter left Sasha at sixes and sevens.

"Mama can't see me, no one can hear me. Why do people move into and out of my body, I can't touch anything, I'm scared." She cowered in the corner of the noisy entrance way.

"Don't cry. Tell me, what happened. What do you remember? How did you get there?" Sasha was hardly able to converse with the girl.

"I'm sick. I've been here for over a year. I was taken to the operation room. That is all I remember." She replied.

"Everything will be alright." Sasha whispered.

"Am I dead?"

"No! Don't say that. Just try to remember nice things, your favorite things. What do you wanna do with your family after your surgery?"

Sasha told her.

"YJ. He is my favorite." The girl smiled through her tears.

"Huh?" Sasha snorted with laughter.

"Mama promised me if I get better she will take me to his concert."

"What do you like about him? Is it because he is good looking?" Sasha kept talking.

"He can sing. He acts well. He is so nice in real life. He is brave, You know." She was greatly enthused by talking about her idol.

"l know." Sasha moved her eyebrows up.

"I wrote him. Hope he will come to see me one day, but it is impossible for him to reply to." The girl was clenching her hands together and lost in a daydream.

"Ok dear, you want to see him soon, don't you?

Be positive. Stay strong. I'll take you to the operation room. You will see yourself. Stick around. Do not go anywhere." Sasha instructed.

Sasha sent her off to the theatre. Her parents were in the surgical waiting room watching the door in hopes of seeing the smiling face of their daughter's surgeon.

"When will you get back?"

"Can't tell mom. I will be late.Bye!" YJ glanced at his watch afterward waved his hands. He was in such a rush in the morning.

YJ wondered Sasha was not around yet. When he stepped out the door, saw Sasha by the gate.

"Guess who I met yesterday?" Sasha asked YJ.

"How do I know?" YJ talked in a hushed tone, heeded if Sam, who was in the driving seat, could discern.

"Little fan girl. She is just crazy about you and won't stop talking about you. She has cancer. Her mom promised to take her to your concert if she gets well. She said she wrote you but you haven't written back." Sasha looked dejected.

"How do you know her. Did she talk about me with you?" YJ could not understand her.

"Um... Everyone in the hospital knows she is obsessed with you. Yesterday she had a surgery. I overheard. It would be better if you visit her." She was careful for not to tell the whole story.

At the time Sasha visited the little girl, she was having a great time with her parents. Sasha wanted to make sure if she mentions anything about her or yesterday. Sasha knew she had already forgotten her for the better.

YJ headed to grant his little fan's wish during his short recess. She was delighted as she saw his favorite star in person.

YJ had a real uphill battle with his instinctive feelings, whether he makes his way to exit without visiting Sasha or not. Even he had no strength to face Sasha's mother, he walked down the corridor to see Sasha.

YJ saw from the distance some person was standing outside the door, remaining undecided to visit Sasha.

"What is she doing here?" YJ recognized his mom.

Mom turned to leave, pinched the bridge of her nose when she felt the tears start to flow.

Both son and mother were staggered as it turned out that they crossed their paths.

SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING. SHE HAD ALREADY READ THAT.

YJ screamed in his mind.
