Recalling the past

Everything was going as usual at school. Exams were approaching but I didn't have much stress because Kim and I were revising each day.

The school organized a graduation party for all of us. The entire hall looked so good, colorful with light colored dress code. Kim was next to me while I was talking to other guys from my class. A girl walked towards Kim and wanted to talk to him in private. Kim excused himself and left with the girl. It was more than ten minutes Kim didn't return and our class coordinator informed me to search for Kim. So I walked towards the exit door because I had watched Kim going that way with that girl. I went out, no one in sight. But there was another door few steps far and I went towards it. And to my surprise the door was bit opened, there was narrow space. I could hear someone talking. I was about to open the door but stopped when I heard that girl saying "Kim, I have liked you for a long time now. Can we get to know each other. Will you be my boyfriend?". I froze right there listening to what the girl had just said. I felt sad for some reason. Without even thinking twice I left the place and walked into the hall again. Coordinator noticed me as I entered and asked where Kim was. I lied that I didn't find him.

After few minutes Kim came back and sat next to me. I had seen Kim entering the hall but pretended that I didn't notice him and acted as if I was busy on my phone. He cleared his throat so that I realise his presence. I raised my head and smiled at him and told that coordinator was looking for him. He excused himself again. Soon after that he went away from his seat. I saw that girl entering the hall with a smile. That annoyed me to the core. I thought Kim accepted her. After that I tried talking to other classmates trying to divert my mind. Kim was not around me anymore. The party was so noisy with laughter, screams, loud music and I even saw few girls crying right behind me saying that they would miss eachother. By the time the party was over I was back to normal. I made up my mind to ignore whatever I heard back then. Kim and I went back home. Nothing changed between us. I didn't ask him anything nor did he try saying anything.

After few days exam dates were announced. Kim and I were writing the exam in the same school.

Within blink of an eye exams were done. And our class coordinator suggested us to try applying for the top most colleges in the City for pursuing our studies.

Soon after that results were out, we both passed with A+ and we knew we can get into any college we want. We had to discuss about it with our parents.

So during the break after exams we both returned to our homes to meet our parents. I went to Kim's home in the evening as I was too bored staying home. That's true I am the only child and always want someone beside me to spend my time. And sticking with him all day it's more of an habit that I need him beside me. As usual he was busy studying. I went closer to peek at what he was studying. He was reading foreign language. I literally freaked out thinking he was going abroad for studying.

He calmed me down and told that he was too bored so he tried studying that old book from his dad's library. That was like a mini heart attack for me.

After that Kim was interested in knowing which college I wanted to apply for. I told him I'll be getting into XZ University my dream University. Then when I asked him where he had planned to join his answer surprised me or how do I tell like something that made me feel heartwarming?

He told he'll follow me where ever I go and so he would be joining the same University with that innocent bunny smile on his face. I am not sure why I flick his forehead after hearing his answer.
