CH84 (448), Running Around

The first exam week passed without any hiccups and as I had expected, I did them easily. Still, that did not stop me from looking through the books during the weekend to ensure that the rest of the exams would be just as easy. I spent the rest of the time I was not hitting the books just playing or relaxing with my Pokemon.

Anyway, the weekend passed and the exams resumed. The first two days passed by rather quickly, and today was the last day I had to sit through all this. I just finished the last exam I had to sit in and after checking the answers for any mistakes, I handed the exam in before leaving.

With this, I was officially done with my exams and I would get my report card on Dialday, so I was technically free since I was told to stay away from the lab until Kyoday. Well, since I had nothing else going on, I decided to see how it was going for those among my friends that were also going through exams.

Ace, Weiss, Erza, and Rose, oh, and Yu as well were all going to graduate this year, so for them, these exams were truly final ones. I first send out a text message to see who among them was free/done for the day, and Yu was the first one to write back. Since he wrote that he was free right now I directly called him.

"Yo, how are Yu?" I asked with a smile. I could not help how funny I was sometimes. I heard Yu groan at my superior joke.

"Really funny," he returned with a deadpan voice, "but thanks for asking. I'm fine, more than fine actually. I'm finally free!" Yu exclaimed and I heard him utter an apology to someone on his side for shouting. I could not help but chuckle at his antics.

"Yeah, yeah. Laugh all you want mister I don't have to go to trainer school and still ace anything," he mock-complained. "I'm just really happy that I'm finally done with schooling. Now, I just have to finish the practical year, and then I'll be able to start my journey," he shared cheerfully.

"I believe you," and I did since that was something every sane student felt. "Say, Yu, how is your practical year going to go down? Are you coming back to Rota for it, or will you do it in Orre?" I did not even bother asking about how his exams went since I knew that he would pass them without any problems.

"Yeah, about that, I was originally asked to come back to Rota for my practical year since I am registered as a Rota citizen and the practical year involves time with the military, but I asked around if I could do it in Orre instead since I want to go through with it together with the friends I made here.

If I go back to Rota, I would be alone since none of you guys, aside from Erza, will be going through the Rota system, and there is the chance that I won't be in the same group as Erza, so I had to ask if I could stay in Orre instead. It took some work and a bit of help, but it worked out and I'll be doing my practical year here in Orre," he explained and I was happy for him since I understood where he was coming from.

"You did not have to sell your body to get it approved right," I joked and he returned a "how'd you know," fake-shout. We both laughed a bit before Yu cleared his throat to say something.

"Nah, I asked Ryuuto to help me out a bit. He directly went to Professor Krane, and boom, problem solved. It seems the good professor still remembered me, so he did not mind helping me out.

I guess I have to thank you for that. If not for you, I doubt the professor would not have known about me, much less bothered to remember me," he finished and I could hear that he was only half joking when he said he was thanking me.

Not wanting to go into that, I decided I change the topic. "Well, congratulations, I'm happy for you if that's what you want," I said and he returned a quick "thanks".

"Say, what are you going to do for your journey? Will you be coming back here to complete the Kanto Circuit or the Rota Circuit, or any of the other northern ones really, or do you plan to stay there and do the Orre Circuit? I think I heard somewhere that one has to spend the first year of one's journey on their home continent," I asked him since I was actually curious about that.

"I plan to stay in Orre for that one as well. I did learn a lot about the Orre Circuit during my time here and it would kinda feel like a waste if didn't," I could practically feel him shrug his shoulder with a wry smile when he said that.

"As for the home continent rule," he began, "I heard about that one as well, but people like me, who went to a trainer school in another region/continent, are given the option to start their journey in that place since the education they received during those years makes it easier to start there," he elaborated and it made sense.

"Good for you," I congratulated him and he thanked me. His graduation ceremony came up and he did invite me, since that was something he had to do because we were friends, but he knew that traveling to another continent for a graduation ceremony was a bit much, especially because I would be receiving a few more invitations that were actually on the same continent.

Hence, he was really surprised when I told him that I would visit, but that I could only stay for half an hour. I mean I would have to hire the best teleporter I could get to do it, but Yu actually came when I made it to the global finals, so I would feel bad if I didn't do it.

Anyway, Yu tried to persuade me that I really did not have to bother traveling all that way just for his graduation party, but I insisted, so he gave up and told me that the party would go on from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and that I could come whenever I wanted.

We hung up after that and I directly began to look through the net to find a fitting teleportation service so that I could go through with my spontaneous promise. During my search both Ace and Erza ended up writing back as well, so I called them to speak with them as well.

Predictably both ended up inviting me to their graduation parties as well, and I naturally agreed to both. I told them I could only stay for an hour since I had to go to the parties of the others as well, and they did not mind.

It took a bit, but I managed to find someone that fit the bill. However, the back-and-forth trip would cost me 120k. There were cheaper alternatives, but those all had a longer travel time, which was the rest time between teleportations since we were traveling between continents.

The 120k service had a travel time of just 5 minutes which was unbelievably short considering the distance I would be traveling. From what I could read on the teleporters profile, the guy was a psychic who was offering teleportation services as a side hustle.

Anyway, I booked the service for Dialday. The guy would pick me up at 4 p.m. from our home in Hope Town and come back to pick me up from Yu's party at 4:40 p.m. He would be leaving me at Ace's party, and I would go to Rose's party from there, then go to Weiss' party, and finally finish up the day at Erza's party.

Regardless, Dialday came and I went to the Pallet City Trainer School at 10 a.m. to receive my report card. Obviously, I only had straight A's across the board, and I quickly made my way to Hope Town to show my parents the report card since they actually cared about it. Mom took it and put it in her "baby's" achievement book.

Well, that was still better than it being framed and hung up on the wall since it was just a report card, but I let her be since it gathering that stuff made her happy. I knew for a fact that the one she added the report card to was the third book since the first two were already full.

Anyway, I was ready and waiting in front of our front door and the psychic arrived at point 4 p.m. He introduced himself as Max after asking for confirmation that I was Mikail Geo. After I showed him my I.D., the Hypno he arrived with teleported us away.

No idea where we stopped, but Max recalled his Hypno and called out an Alakazam in its stead. Alakazam directly did a teleportation as well, before it was handily switched out for a Slowbro that did the same. This repeated another 8 times, with some repeat appearances, before Max declared that we had arrived.

A look at my watch showed that it took us about 4.5 minutes instead of 5, and after thanking Max I watched as he vanished, but not before reminding me to be back here at 4:40 p.m. I called Yu and told him that I had arrived and he came out to bring me in. We spent the next 30 minutes mingling around, with Yu introducing me to people. We kept talking and enjoying the music that was playing in the background.

Nonetheless, 30 minutes were not that long, especially when you were having fun, so before we knew it it was time for me to go. I took out the graduation present I prepared for Yu and gave him the box containing the balls I had handcrafted for him. He packed the box away before accompanying me back to the meeting spot.

Max arrived just a minute after we did, at point 4:40 p.m., and after I said my goodbyes to Yu, we teleported away. Less than 5 minutes later I was in front of Ace's academy. I confirmed the service on the app and the pre-deposit was sent to Max, who left after he received the confirmation that his money had arrived.

I then called Ace to tell him that I had arrived and he came to get me as well. The hour passed by pretty much the same as it did with Yu, and I gave him a box as well before moving on to Rose's party. The present I gave her was the Arbok undershirt I had commissioned for her and I knew it would fit her since she had finished her growth spurt two months ago.

Rose was now about 165 cm tall and thankfully looked just about how I had estimated her to do when I commissioned the undershirt. Regardless, she put the present away, thanked me for coming and I moved on to Weiss' party.

Weiss ended up getting the ball box just like Ace and Yu, but other than that the hour went pretty much the same as it did with the others since an hour only had so much time. My final stop was in Rota at Erza's party, and she received an Arbok undershirt as her graduation present just like Rose. Erza thanked me for coming and I actually walked her home since she decided to leave the party as well when I did.

At that point, it was already 9:10 p.m., so I went straight back home after wishing Erza a good night. The first thing I did when I was back home was to heat up the dinner mom cooked since I did not particularly enjoy eating from the open buffet at the parties.

Eeveelution poll no.4 (Color Scheme) will go up on patre'on either tonight or tomorrow and will end on Saturday next week, so those interested may hop over. Actually, I'd recommend waiting until tomorrow to hop over since that's the 1st April, so you'll be a patron at the start of the month and not the end.

Anyway, there are also 2 more polls up right now that will decide the base stat distribution and ability poll of the new steel-type Eeveelution. Those two polls will go on until this Sunday.

Currently, the first goal has been completed, so for the duration of March the lowest number of advanced chapters available is 6, while the highest number of advanced chapters is 10.

If the second goal gets fulfilled, I will release 2 bonus chapters on webnovel, and the lowest number of advanced chapters available on patre'on will be 8, while the highest number of advanced chapters will be 12.

Sketches, drawings of the MC, Variants and maps can be found on my Patre'on. A patre'on exclusive Legendary Lore series can be found there as well.

Help me stay motivated.
