GET OUT OF HERE!

I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

**************

Just like what he was being told, Kama kept his eyes on the unconscious girl from that evening. The girl, who effortlessly got the silver marble from Drustan and didn't even know the treasure that she possessed.

During the day that Kama was with her, he didn't find anything strange or suspicious or any crucial information about her.

He knows her name now; Apple Zenith. Apple… yuck! That was not a good name!

Since Kama was a carnivore, he was not a big fan of fruits or any vegetables, and out of a million names that her parents could think of, why should it be Apple? But, probably it was better than pineapple.

Apple was a student in one of the ordinary schools in this neighborhood. She was not that smart, but not stupid either, an ordinary girl with an ordinary life.

But, one thing that stood out from her was the way she didn't give any crap to the people around her, who tried to make fun of her because she was not really good at mingling with them.

Kama could understand why, though Apple had tried very hard to not make this so obvious, but the fact that she could see the creature that was not meant to be there was quite bothering her.

She tended to keep low-key, but the side effect was; she did that too in her social life that put her straight on the list of freak people.

However, since Kama was keeping his eyes on her, Apple had not yet seen those creatures. If this girl had a chance to know more about him, she had to bow in gratitude to Kama for doing this to her. At least, that was what the werewolf thought to entertain himself.

If it was not for the drama that Apple had to face at home, then this mission would be the worst mission that Kama got from Drustan.

Apparently, Apple lived with her aunt and her two children, but it looked like they didn't really like her the way a family should.

"You are only an extra load here, make yourself useful!" Cherry, the second child of Apple's aunt, reprimanded her harshly as she walked into Apple's room. "Go out and find a job!"

Kama was in his beast form, thus Cherry was not able to see him, and he was quite irritated to be woken up by her annoying voice. He had a hard time falling asleep in this small room of Apple, but now this creature has come to find trouble.

"Why don't you talk like that to yourself instead?" Apple talked back to her, as she put down her pen. She was doing her homework early in the morning because she had a few part-time jobs during the day until evening since this was the weekend. "And I am not an extra load. I pay for what I eat in this house." She glared fiercely at her cousin.

'Yeah! Show her who is the boss, girl!' Kama cheered for Apple. He liked it when this girl showed her savage side whenever she was being looked down on. That's how it should be, right? You needed to fight back because you couldn't expect someone to save your ass every time. You should fight back harder! 'You got this!'

The sun just came out from the horizon, but it seemed Cherry couldn't wait to make a fuss before the day became brighter.

"My mother let you in because she pitied you, don't forget that. If it was not for that, you would have slept on the street!" Cherry was furious. She was upset because she didn't get the money that she wanted from her mother to go shopping with her friends today and wanted to vent it all out to Apple, as she thought her cousin was still sleeping.

She wanted to roast her until her heart content, but who would have thought that she was already awake?

"If it was not for your father scamming my inheritance money, all of you would have been on the street, begging for some copper!" Apple stood up and before Cherry could say another word, she beat her to it. "And if it was not because of my kindness for not reporting to all of you, you would have ended up in jail!"

Cherry couldn't accept that but was not able to find a good reason to talk back to her, since that was the fact, therefore, out of an option, she resolved to slap Apple instead.

However, Apple had seen that coming, as this was not the first time they had an argument and Cherry would become physical as her last resort.

Apple was stupid if she didn't learn.

Therefore, before she could land her hand on her, Apple swatted her hand and slapped her first. Very hard, on top of that, until the sound of her palm against her cheek echoed inside that small room.

'Yes! Kill her girl! Pull her hair and choke her to death!' Kama was ecstatic to see how Apple fought back.

But, of course, Apple wouldn't do that. She pushed Cherry away from her and then exclaimed, "get out of my room!"

"I will tell mom about this!" Cherry cried while holding her red cheek, running away from her cousin's room, and slammed the door really hard until debris was falling from the ceiling.

Aunty Mary had a night shift, thus she had not yet come back at this hour and Apple would leave home before she was here.

'No! You let her go just like that? At least cut one of her fingers to make her stop annoying you! You are too soft!" Kama complained.

Yet, before he could talk any further, Apple's green eyes glared at him, and then she talked furiously. "You also get out of my room!"

Because most of the time Apple pretended that she couldn't see Kama, he forgot that the girl actually could.
