DO I MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE?

It's getting bad again and I don't know what to do or where to go or who to tell because nobody really cares, right?

Kama always envied the way Drustan and Dorian were gifted with their power, drying themselves in less than seconds, making objects become cold or hot any many more.

It would be nice if he could do that too. He wanted to have magic power since he started to get bored with the only thing that he could do; shifting into his beast.

Well, he wouldn't complain about this, but having a different power was not a bad idea either…

"Tell me what you know about the girl," Drustan said all of sudden, cutting off Kama's line of imagination.

"What?" the werewolf repeated. This was the first time Drustan talked to him since this morning. "Do you want to know about the girl?" his eyes and ears perked up.

"Yes," Drustan said curtly.

Forgetting he yearns to have power like Drustan and Dorian, Kama started to talk for three hours nonstop about Apple. He also added his own point of view here and there and cursed every time he talked about her vile family.

During that long time, Drustan listened to him without interrupting his long story, while outside the rain had stopped but the dark clouds were still hanging low.

It seemed there would be another thunderstorm tonight…

==============

Apple walked to the convenience store near a bus station. She had not yet decided whether she needed to hop on one of the buses or if she should just stay in this city.

If she chose to go, where would she go? Since this city was the only place that she knew since she was a little and if she stayed, she was afraid that Brian or his friend would find her and do something, which was most likely what they would do after what Apple had done to them.

Apple rested her forehead against the table, while an empty cup of noodles was in front of her. She had not yet eaten anything since this afternoon and due to the recent event, she was beyond hungry, she was starving.

Yet, she needed to use her money wisely.

Even though the cup of noodles couldn't satisfy her hunger, at least she gained a little bit of energy to think about what she should do now.

Once again, Apple glanced at the bus. Should she buy a ticket and go to another city? She needed to reconsider it and think about the pros and cons.

"Why is life so hard?" Apple muttered. She stomped her feet to the ground, annoyed, yet didn't know what irritated her, since there were a lot of reasons.

Not far from her, Dorian was sitting on one of the tables, drinking his hot coffee and staring at Apple. He was also curious about what she would do next. It seemed, keeping his eyes on this girl was actually not a boring task.

Yet, his line of thought was disrupted when his eyes caught a glimpse of a man that entered the convenience store. He was wearing a blue jacket and a baseball cap that covered his face.

However, Dorian felt a strange vibe from this person.

Whoever he was, this man was not human. He was part of the astral creature, yet he was visible to human eyes. It meant he was not an ordinary creature.

The man picked a few items from the shelf and went straight to the cashier, but there was a moment that his eyes caught Dorian's, yet both of them pretended to see nothing.

Dorian just hoped this creature had only passed by and didn't cause any ruckus. Since Drustan arrived in this city, his presence seemed to notify many astral creatures that after his life, though he stayed lowkey.

And because Drustan was well known in their realm, they must have known about Dorian too.

The man paid for his stuff and walked toward Apple with a cup of noodles in his hand, as he sat down beside her.

Seeing this, Dorian squinted his eyes and stood up, throwing the empty paper cup of his coffee. This must be only a coincidence, right?

On the other hand, sensing someone sitting beside her on the barstool that faced the street, Apple raised her head and caught sight of a young man, who was blowing his hot noodles.

"Rough day, huh?" he talked.

At first, Apple thought he was talking to someone through his phone, but when this man tilted his head and smiled at her, she realized that the question was for her.

"Is it very obvious?" Apple grimaced. Her vibes must be very gloomy for a stranger to be able to say so. Or maybe it was her appearance… She knew she didn't take care of herself well after being drenched in the rain. She just hoped that she didn't smell bad.

"Very." He grinned. "Want to share? Maybe I can help."

Apple laughed dryly at that. Of course, she wouldn't talk about what had happened to the random person, though he looked nice. Life taught her to not trust someone nice because there would be something bad entailed.

"No, thanks, I got it." Apple shrugged and gathered her belongings. It seemed she needed time to think about it again and talking to this man was the last thing she wanted to do now.

"Do I make you feel uncomfortable?" the man asked again while eating his noodles. "I will not talk if you want alone time."

For a moment Apple felt bad because she made it pretty obvious that she didn't want to be here, but then she kept it cool. "Don't worry, I don't feel like that, I have been sitting at this table for two hours now, it is time to go home." She shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly. "It is already very late and I don't want to make my mom worried about me." Nice lie. Apple thought bitterly.

"Your mom, huh?" the guy smirked. "Didn't your mother die seven years ago?"
