A Home

Ashton's POV

"Do you think it would be alright if I stayed?" I asked my father-in-law as he brought me to the guest room.

"Of course, you are Megan's husband, Ashton. You have all the right to stay here at my house. I apologize since our house is not as big as your mansion in Astikoz or the one you were living; in Majuscule City." He answered, and I gave him a weak smile.

"It doesn't matter, dad; this place is a home to me, and unlike my father's house, our movements were numbered, and we weren't free on what to do with our lives even if my siblings and I were no longer teenagers," I responded.

"I understood that Gregory only wanted what is best for his children, but what he had done out there during a party to my daughter was not excusable; he humiliated Megan in front of his guests." Megan's dad replied. I felt so guilty and embarrassed as I talked with Megan's dad.
