Emma was running behind Rias who held onto Aren. Rias had trained her or, at least, taught her the basics, not of swordsmanship but defense. Why? Because while she went to "hunt," Emma stayed behind to take care of Aren and she didn't want any harm to come to them.
Another boom resounded in the distance...
"What is going on?!" Aren thought. He was taking his afternoon nap, everything was fine. However, the next thing he knew, the day turned into chaos.
"Don't tell me this is the ACTUAL beginning of my adventure?!" Having seen and read too many anime, manga, light novels, and movies, he understood that the start of the protagonist's journey or adventure almost always had to start with a thrilling event. Especially since this is "One Piece." But —
"No no no no no, I don't wanna, not yet..." — Aren's past re-emerged in his head once again... In the human world he knew too well, as a kid, his life started simple and easy as almost every kid in that world did. But not too long after, everything went to hell... His adoptive father, his adoptive mother, and... everything else... His demons, he didn't want them chasing him into his new life, his new journey, his new adventure...
He also didn't want his life to start early again, especially after just turning one year old. "Is life going to be cruel... again?!" Aren didn't want to suffer — absolutely not!
Rias, noticing that Aren was shifting around, tried to calm him down.
"It's alright, Aren. Momma's with ya, 'kay?" she cooed or at least tried to since she was running at full speed down the hill.
"Where exactly are we going, Lady Rias?" having overheard what Rias told Aren, she assumed that Aren was starting to become impatient. It was normal, after all, he was just a baby — a BIG baby.
"Please don't tell me we're going to HIS place..." Emma thought when she saw Rias take a right turn at the bottom of the hill.
"We're headed to Moore's place... He can help us get out of —" Rias tried to explain but was cut short when whizzing cannonballs hit and destroyed "Seahorse Village" ahead of them.
Rias turned around instinctively, protecting Aren from the force of the eruption as well as Emma due to her size. Emma shielded her face with her right forearm as she closed her eyes.
"Lady Rias, are you okay?!" Emma asked in a worried tone as soon as she stopped shielding her face.
"I'm fine, don't worry..." Rias replied. Emma was relieved when she heard that, her soul almost came out of her body, literally!
"What in tarnation...?!" Aren yelled but yet again, only baby words came out. "Uwa-bab-ah?!"
"Shh shh, it's okay, my baby boy," cooed Rias while rocking Aren back and forth in her arms.
Rias turned to Emma when Aren had calmed down a bit. "Moore wasn't in his house. I didn't see him. We'll have to go to the other side of the Island..."
"Understood, Lady Rias," replied Emma. Rias had almost always known what to do in tight situations. Calling out orders like an army general would in any scenario. Almost always tactical about everything.
*BOOM!*
*BOOM!*
*BOOM!*
Several more eruptions happened all over the island. Smoke rose into the sky as a signal to the heavens that there would be death today.
"We must hurry, Emma. He's probably at the other port," said Rias while they ran towards the other side of the island.
"Yes, Lady Rias."
Clam Island had 4 ports: Koko port, Clam port which was the main port, Shallow port, and Draco port. However, there was one more port that was on the other side of the island. This port was small and could barely be called a port, but there was one man who believed it so. His name was Ein Moore.
Rias had been seeing him these past few months... She first noticed him at Clam port when she was preparing to leave for her job, they almost instantly hit it off. Their interests aligned almost perfectly, except for their background. Unlike Rias, who was half-human and half mink, Moore was fully human.
[A/N: More on her background later...]
They had the occasional dates here and there, but Rias hadn't done anything else. However, the only major event that happened between them was... They held hands... The lewdest of all actions!
Moore knew Aren and fully supported Rias in that area. Furthermore, he actually wanted a family of his own, so there was really no reason for Rias to say no, she had to move on, after all.
They kept running to the other side of the island. Cutting trees or almost any obstacle in their path, well, Rias did anyway with her katana—single-handedly. Emma just followed behind her.
It took them 12 minutes to get where they hoped their only way of escape would be.
The sight before them was an area almost clear of trees, a small beach, and an ocean that seemed to never end. Moore's small ship was hidden in a sea cave (littoral cave) that was covered by palm trees. From a distance, people just assumed it was an area covered by palm trees, but up close it was clear as day that there was something hidden there.
*Huff* *Huff* "He's still here..." Ria's eyes had hope in them.
*Huff* *Huff* "I... hope so..." Emma responded almost out of breath.
More booms were heard in the distance.
"This shouldn't be normal...! Are they Marines? What did mom do?" Aren thought in his head. The Marines wouldn't be destroying an island if it weren't necessary... Unless...
"Don't tell me it's a buster call!" Aren screamed internally. The only times the Marines ever needed to destroy an island was because something threatened the government or when the "World Nobles" said so but in this case...
"Seriously...! Mom, what exactly did you do?!" Aren just had to know what had happened that the Marines would need to do such a thing to a somewhat peaceful island that he had come to know about.
Rias and Emma started searching for Moore. Both of them needed to get out of the island ASAP.
"Rias, Emma! Right over here!" Moore called them over from behind some beach boulders. Moore was hidden in his secret location, in an underground layer he had constructed, he used a simple beach boulder as a disguise for the entrance.
He had spotted Rias and Emma when they first came into sight using his "trustful periscope," as he liked to call it.
"Moore!" Rias yelled. Her only hope was still alive.
"Oh, geez, it's Moore..." Emma muttered under her breath. She didn't like Moore because HE was going to take her Rias away forever, not literally but it felt like that to her. She didn't want her family to be taken away by some SIMPLE man she just so casually bumped into — from what Rias had told her, anyway.
They both ran towards him, well, Rias did anyway. Emma just "lightly jogged" towards him... She walked.
Rias handed Aren to Emma and, quite literally, bear-hugged him.
"Oh, it's so good to see you again!" Rias said as tears threatened to come out of her eyes.
Moore on the other hand was enjoying himself because not only was he being embraced by her arms, but by her huge chest. He was... shorter than Rias standing at only seven foot six.
"Y-yoff t-tooff..." Moore's words sounded muffled by her chest. He liked this feeling a lot.
"Hey! Let go of mom, right this instance!" Aren yelled as soon as he got sight of the event going on in front of him and Emma but yet again, his baby words were the only things heard from his mouth. "Heb, beb-ub-momb, bab-a-dub!"
"Yeah, you tell him, Aren. That perverted freak," Emma agreed with Aren. She didn't like him. At all.
Rias let go of the hug, leaving a blushing Moore in a daze.
"We need to get out of this island, help us, please!" she asked, if there was one other person who understood her besides Aren and Emma, it was him.
Moore shook his head to clear his haziness. "Y-yeah, no problem—"
However, before he could fully respond...
*On Earth*
A disguised human was sitting on a couch holding a Pepsi can in his right hand...
"Oh no he didn't...! I KNOW HE DIDN'T JUST LEAVE ME ON A CLIFFHANGER!! THAT SON OF A—"
