Lost and Found - Part 3

[A/N: Please read the Author's Note at the end]

Let's rewind a little...

As cannon shots and screams resounded throughout the island, ten ships were surrounding clam Island, each with the "Marine" logo on the sails. However, one ship had "World Govt" on its sail along with five circles connected by a-cross—the World Government signature. This ship had docked on the island and a group of people led by a man had disembarked.

"Tell HQ we've arrived and let's get this over with. They better give me a promotion for this crap." He walked from the port onto land with two men behind him dressed in black suits. No particular expression on their faces.

"Search for a woman named Rias Evergreen and bring her to me!"

"Yes, sir!" The rest of the group yelled in unison as they marched further into the island. They wore nothing more than your ordinary black suit and tie. Their faces devoided all emotion. Their marching steps resounded throughout the area causing the people to panic even more.

"What in the world is that smell! It's disgusting!"

"It could be the port, they did tell us they fished for clams in the area."

"Ughh, whatever. Let's keep going. Also, tell the rest of the ships to stop firing warning shots while I'm on the island."

"Understood."

These were the people Rias was scared about. Not too long ago she had landed on the island and bolted towards her home, scared for her and her family's life.

They were the CP9 agents led by Spandine.

Fast-forward to the present...

Her observation alerted her—something was headed for them. Grabbing the two people in front of her and a baby, she dived to the left.

"What was that?!" Aren screamed out, but, yet again, his baby language spoke for him. "Bubba bu wa?!"

"Are you guys—" However, before she could question them, she backflipped away from the spot she was on. A few seconds later, bullets whizzed where she had been.

"Get her, and get the rest of them!"

"Yes, sir!"

Without time to rest, Rias leaped upward and started to kick off the air to avoid the onslaught of bullets aiming for her.

"You can fly—! Ahh!"

"Careful, Riaaaas!"

She kept on kicking off the air avoiding the bullets. "Emma, I—" Rias kicked off to her right, whizzing bullets passing by as she did.

"Man, I've seen mom train hard... But when did she gain Moon Walk (Geppo)?" Aren questioned himself as he watched his mother, from Emma's arms, kick off the air. However, before he could keep on thinking...

"I can't keep this up forever... Argh!" she thought with worry and anger, avoiding another onslaught of bullets. She had noticed that Aren was becoming fretful, so she needed to hide somewhere where she could tend to Aren or, at least, eliminate some of the bastards that were threatening their lives to be able to escape this island with Moore

"Man am I glad I learned this technique! Thank you, Dyda!" she thought with relief as she went further inland, away from the whizzing bullets. During one of her travels—one that took a month—she had managed to not only get a good amount of money from one of her bounty hunts but also a useful technique from a woman named Dyda. She was a woman that earned Rias' respect and vice versa, a woman who also gained Rias' friendship.

However, before she could continue to reminisce on her adventure, whizzing bullets pulled her out of her thoughts. Another kick to the right and she was in the clear, but damn it, she needed out! She had a baby for goodness sake! She couldn't just say, "Hey, please stop, I have a baby!" These types of men were lapdogs to the government; most of them had no emotions, they didn't care if she had a baby or not, they were just following an order.

"Damn it, where to...! There!" Rias said with desperation, but then she saw a huge boulder behind some trees and descended. Putting Moore and Emma, along with Aren down, she said, "I'll be back." This left Emma and Moore without anything to say, except for Aren who thought, "Did she just quote what I think she quoted...?"

Kicking off the air once more, she reached the sky in no time, looked down, and unsheathed her katana.

She took notice of the dark smoke clouds that rose from many areas throughout the island. Closing her eyes, she said a silent prayer for those who had the unfortunate encounter with death today... Life wasn't fair, she knew that, but there was no way around it. All the emotions she felt around were heartbreaking... "I can't do anything, I'm sorry..." Rias lamented saying these words, but it was the truth. What could she do?... In the palms of despair, there is very little to one could do. Only one thing... move forward. And that is exactly what she was aiming for. However, now that she thought about it, she could avenge those who had died today at the hands of those bastards, a thought that relieved her.

"There she is!"

"Don't let her get away!"

"Take aim and fire!"

Looking down from where she was, she only said a few words. "Go to hell!" With her katana unsheathed, she began her counterattack—flying sword attacks; they rained down from the sky like lightning strikes during a fierce thunderstorm.

As Rias was doing this, Emma, Aren, and Moore hid behind the boulder waiting for Rias' return...

Moor turned towards Emma and asked, "Did you know Rias could fly? That was incredible!"

Caught by surprise when Rias demonstrated a technique she'd never seen, Emma didn't want to tell Moore she didn't know. If there was any news regarding Rias, Emma would be the first to know, but seeing as this time she wasn't informed of Rias' new move, she was taken aback. What was this feeling she felt? Anger? Jealousy? That was most likely the answer. She just wanted to know things regarding her ahead of time before someone like Moore did, almost like a teenage girl in school getting in on the gossip and drama before anyone else did so that when someone asked her about it, she would have the answer to it, filling her up with pride. Emma just really, really, really, hated the fool!

Emma turned away from Moore and dismissed him with a wave of her hand. "Uh, yeah, yeah... Pshh, seen it many times."

"Damn, I wish I would've known.." Moore looked up towards where Rias was, sending death attacks towards the enemy.

"Yeah, that's right! Suck it, bozo!" Emma cheered inside her mind with a grin on her face.

Seeing this interaction from her arms, Aren watched with an expression that said, "Bruh."

"Honestly, Emma... Y'know what, you... You're fascinating. Your type of character is what makes people laugh in anime—a shameless character who doesn't give a single fuck..." Aren thought within his mind. This reminded him of Kazuma from Konosuba, which was one special character he respected.

"Gender equality, baby (Babbu ba, be)!" Aren raised his small hand and fist-pumped the air to the best of his ability.

"Huh? Did you say something, Aren?" Emma looked down, noticing that Aren moved a little. However, the only answer she got was Aren shaking his head no with him sucking his thumb, looking adorable as usual.

Okay, a few months ago, I fixed the age for the main character. Now, the main issue I have is comparing the original characters' birthdays to the timeline, though I can ignore this issue, I don't want to.

For example, in this fanfic, Aren is born in the month of December while Momonosuke was born in October making Momo older than the MC. So, should I ignore that?

Anyways, Ramen Sensei, signing out!
