Chapter 36

"Time passes, waiting for no one."

Maybe it was how the weeks of true peace had passed quickly that made Emma reluctant to go back to work. She honestly just wanted to continue to stay at her new home with Megan, the two enjoyed each other's presence significantly - having their break consisting of the two rarely seen without the other with brief moments of extreme intimacy before they were broken out of their stupor. Such mundane tasks were always done and completed with peals of laughter and joy on the pair's faces; other things such as going out and helping at the village centre with the charities and the village orphanage, where they always read stories to them, or them going with the local fire-boy who goes out for firewood. It was a peaceful time, and now it was coming to an end.

"You're sighing again."

"Apologies, I just have a lot on my mind."
