HER FLAWLESS PLANS

Sofia drove her own car and went to City D's Police Division Crime Unit. She's wearing a simple pink dress with long sleeves which will cover her arms. The length was just up to her knees yet she still looked sexy and pretty because of her body proportion.

"Hi." Sofia greeted one of the police officers who was standing at the door and smiled at him. "I'm looking for Liam. Is he around?"

"Liam? You mean Officer Hughes?"

"Ah? Ah yes. That's him." She answered, smiling sheepishly as if she was shy to look for him.

The police officer looked around and called on his walkie talkie if William was around. However, his answer disappointed her. "Officer Hughes isn't here. He left for a sudden call regarding a kidnapping incident. He's not back yet."

"Oh. I see. Thank you for letting me know. Can you tell me which is the nearest bar here?" Sofia asked.

"Bar? The nearest is three kilometers to the east of first intersection from here. It's called Ecstasy. But I don't think it's open now."

"That's fine. I'll go there later. Thank you." Sofia left the station with a sad expression on her face. She tried her best to look normal today and yet, he was chasing after a crime that she orchestrated. "What a pain." She told herself as she walked back to her car. Even so, if things go well, she should be able to meet William later.

The officer wanted to ask for her name but she already left the station without looking back. He didn't know why she was looking for William either.

William was still looking into the kidnapping incident but there were no other clues left. The van described by the witness couldn't be found either. They have checked all intersection that the van might show up through the traffic control team's office in the city but the van seems like to disappear like a bubble. It didn't show anywhere.

Their IT team has been checking their network if they have been hacked but they couldn't find any traces of being hacked either. In fact, William's gut feeling was right. They have been hacked only that, they were up against pro hackers. They couldn't beat them and find loopholes to spot them.

Left with disappointment, he reported what he found out from his initial investigation. They had no idea if it was kidnap for ransoms or if it was murder. All they could hope now was wait for the criminals to get in touch with the victim's family. A police officer was already guarding the family of the victim, waiting for a call but they waited in vain. No call came in and no news either.

At six in the evening, Mr. Tan was happily eating early dinner with his family. After all, he was able to get into ILY with twice the number of his current salary. He didn't tell his wife about yet, after all, he committed a crime for stealing company resources. After dinner, the family of four left the restaurant and was waiting for a taxi. There were many people passing to and fro, and because it was a crowded street no one noticed that a suspicious person mixed in.

With a signal coming from his partner, the man in the crowd started to run, measuring up the speed of the car, when the car was near, he ran towards Mr. Tan and pushed him off the street.

'THUD!'

A loud sound of two solid matters colliding shocked everyone in the street. The screeching sound of the tires made everyone look at the road. Pool of blood was spreading in the middle of the road and a woman was crying hysterically. Seeing that the car has stopped, they thought that the driver would take responsibility. To their horror, the driver drove the car and sped up, leaving the crime scene.

People called the police immediately and they noted the plate number of the car. The mother and two children were still kneeling on the ground, their clothes were bloodstained and their tears kept falling.

"How could that person be so merciless?!"

"This must be a premediated crime!"

"Someone must be taking this against him."

People started to gossip on their own, not daring to take a look at the crime. They never noticed that someone pushed the man off onto the road.

An ambulance came and brought the man to the hospital but he was announced dead on arrival. The police department started looking into these things and once again, they were brought to a dead end. The plate number of the car that everyone gave the police was actually a car that was reported to be missing three days ago. The owner had been looking for his car but he couldn't find it. And now, it was even involved with a hit-and-run crime.

Once again, the officers looked into the surveillance of the traffic control cameras. This time they were able to see which way the car went and they followed it. Sadly, they only found a burnt car remains in the middle of nowhere. There were no houses, no people and not many vehicles pass by the place.

Officer William was so stressed out with the crimes that he's been handling recently. None of them were solved. He felt so defeated.

Sofia on the other hand, was taking her time drinking inside the Ecstasy bar that the police officer told her. There weren't many people yet and the sound was mellow to her ears. It was really a good place.

She just received a call that Mr. Tan has been taken care of and another news that it was William who was tasked to look into this case as well. Sadly, she's always been flawless with her plans.

She was minding her own business and was happily talking to the bartender when someone arrived and groped her butt. She was so shocked that she felt all her blood has risen to her head.

"Did you just grope me?!"

"No, I wasn't." the man lied as he sat on the chair next to her. There was a wicked smile on his face that annoyed her so much. "The man ordered his drink and pretended to be nonchalant but this time, Sofia was already prepared. She wasn't spacing out anymore and she shoved William out of her mind.
