The Sun And Moon 2 (Meeting Desiree)

Calypso started to swim away so that Zephyr couldn't see him but before that, he waved and said goodbye to Serenity.

"What are you doing there?" Zephyr asked. 

"Just appreciating the scenery..." Serenity answered as Zephyr approached her, sitting on the rock she's sitting on. 

"Oh yeah, close your eyes," Zephyr said while smiling at Serenity. 

"Why?" Serenity curiously asked. 

"Just close it." Serenity stared at him curiously but then she listened to Zephyr and closed her eyes. 

Zephyr smiled because of Serenity's reaction while her eyes are closed. You can tell that she's curious. Serenity felt a cold sensation that touched her neck. The necklace was cool against her skin. 

It's just a simple necklace but the pearl's rich and luxuriant beauty with deep and vivid hues, a bright complexion that makes the necklace magical. 

'What is he doing? What's that? I smell something like, "Strawberry..."

"W-what? Strawberry?" Serenity suddenly opened her eyes when she felt Zephyr's breath in her ear. 

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING—?" She suddenly pushed him when she saw his face was close to hers. 

"Hey! Don't do that, you'll fall—!" Zephyr rushed to catch Serenity but in the end, both of them fell in the ocean. 

'Ah, I forgot that we were still sitting on this rock near the ocean.'

"Now we're both soaked." He said. 

"Well, whose fault is this?" Serenity sarcastically asked. 

"Well well sorry then." He said laughingly. 

"I gotta go get us some towels." Then Zephyr left.

A breeze blew over the shore, wrinkling the water as the waves rolled in glittering lines towards Serenity. A cool breeze touched her cheeks and neck that made her shiver. The ocean breeze made her white dress move as if it was alive and her pink hair swept across her features. Serenity touches the necklace on her neck. 

"What's this?" Zephyr already has the towels he just took in his small house but he stopped a moment and looked at Serenity from a distance. When he's down watching her, he approached Serenity and puts the towel on her back. 

'It's warm.'

"As expected, it looks good on you." Serenity turned around and saw a stunning man with a large smile dressed in white, his dark blue hair ruffled by the sea breeze, Zephyr's smiling at Serenity. 

Serenity pointed at the thing that's on her neck and he suddenly nodded. "Yes, that necklace looks good on you."

'So this is a necklace. I've heard about that many times before while watching humans. So this is what it looks like.'

"Want to sit over there?" She nodded in response. We sit in silence at the shore.

The night sky was picturesque. The moon hung in the lonely sky like a wraith-silver disc. Moonlight lasers as dazzling as diamond flame lit up the sea like melted platinum. As the waves approached, white foam topped the crests, flowing onto the shore. The sound of the ocean was calming under the full moon. I suddenly remembered the necklace that was on my neck. 

"Is this my pearl?" She asked while looking at the pearl in the necklace. 

"Uh-huh." He answered.

"Did you make it?" Zephyr nodded in response. 

"I know it's not that pretty at all but still I tried my best and also the purpose of that necklace is, so you don't lose that pearl again—." Serenity cut his words. 

"It's so beautiful, thank you." Serenity's smile was dry, but her eyes twinkled with bliss. A slow smile worked its way across Zephyr's face and into his eyes when he saw the happiness in Serenity's eyes. 

"Woah, the pearl's glowing," Zephyr said amazingly. 

"You're right." Serenity said and both of them laughed. 

"Want some?" Zephyr asked, offering some chips to Serenity while Serenity just looked at him curiously. 

"What's that?" Serenity asked, which made Zephyr burst into laughter, which made her even more curious. 

"Open your mouth." Zephyr authoritatively said. 

"What? Why?" Serenity asked but still did what Zephyr said when he just stared at her, not answering her questions. 

Zephyr fed Serenity some Nava chips and you can clearly tell that Serenity likes the taste of it. "Woah! It tasted good! What is it? Can I have more?" He suddenly laughed at her reaction. 

"One at a time, please. It's Nava, yeah you can have it. I still have a lot of reserves here in case you need more," he said.

'So this is human food. It's delicious.'

"I haven't finished telling you the story yet, right? Hmm... What part did I stop?" He asked.

'Story? What story?'

"Ah!" Zephyr remembered what part of the story he stopped telling Serenity yesterday. 

"Zephyr?!" Serenity asked. 

"You didn't recognize me, Did you?" He teasingly asked Serenity. 

"Well, it was dark that day so I can't quite see your face." She reasoned. 

"So, I'll start now." She nodded repeatedly, really looking forward to it.

'I want to know what happened to the sun and moon.'

"One day when the Sun was sliding out of the heavens, he caught a glimpse of her, the moon.

She was peeking up, a rare side of her being exposed to the light. And while the Sun could shine, he knew the Moon could glow."

The waves were deep blue, a pattern of diamond-pointed light on their backs that rippled like the backs of gigantic horses as they moved. Like the thud of a big beast stamping, the waves. Serenity took some Nava and ate it while listening to Zephyr and the sounds of the waves. The ocean's calming rhythm and flavorful breeze. It's very calming. 

"Just as the Stars were wandering into the night, the Sun fell in love like a snowball hurdling down a mountain.

How he wished to see her move more than the fleeting moments he shared with her at both dawn and dusk. However, they were a world apart."

"Zephyr! I'm right, you're here again..." Serenity and Zephyr both looked behind them and saw Desiree, Zephyr's sister.

"And who's that right beside you?" Desiree asked while approaching them. Serenity doesn't know what to do if she'll hide or not. She's still not used to being seen by a human. 

"Woah so now you're seeing someone secretly." Desiree teasingly said.

Serenity took the Nava she was eating, ran, and hid behind the big rock where the incident earlier happened when Zephyr and Serenity fell into the ocean and got soaked with ocean water. 

"H-hey! Why are you hiding?" Zephyr asked. 

Desiree was getting closer and closer to him, she looked confused as if why Serenity hid. "Zephyr did I scare her off?" Desiree curiously asked. 

"No, you didn't." Zephyr sarcastically said. 

"Why are you always disturbing me? You should go now, you're interrupting us." Zephyr authoritatively said.

"You can come out now…" He reassured Serenity that everything's fine.

"What part of the story did I stop?" He asked. 

"Hey, Desiree! Why aren't you leaving yet?!" He angrily asked. 

"Hmm... I want to get to know her because I want to know what you like about her that you always sneak out every night." Desiree replied. 

'What should I do? I'm still not used to someone seeing me even though I look like a human now.'

Serenity gathered all the courage she could find and walked towards them. 

"H-hi, I'm Desiree." Desiree introduced herself and held out her hand to Serenity. Desiree's still shocked because of the appearance of Serenity, she can't believe someone like her lived near their place.

'I don't know what to do. Why is she offering her hand to me? Do I need to eat it? Like what Zephyr did earlier, offering me some Nava?' 

Serenity looked at Zephyr asking him for help but Zephyr didn't understand what she meant.
