"That's enough Desiree. I'm still telling her something. You're too much of a nuisance," said Zephyr.
"Fine fine, bye whoever you are, we'll meet again," Desiree said while waving at them.
"Wait!" Serenity shouted, stopping Desiree.
"I-i haven't introduced myself yet..." Serenity said while looking at the rocks scattered on the shore.
"I'm Serenity," she introduced herself while smiling at Desiree. Serenity's white dress was molded to the soft curves on one side of her body by a breeze.
She can only hear the deep roar of the ocean. The break of waves on farther shores. The sound of the waves applauding and hugging the shore.
'Why aren't they saying something?'
"Woah woah woah! A-are you a goddess?" Serenity was startled by Desiree's sudden question and noticed that her pearl that was on the necklace Zephyr made for her was glowing.
"W-what?" Serenity looked at Zephyr and noticed that he's also staring at her.
"You..." Desiree said as she got closer and closer to Serenity.
"Are you a goddess?" Desiree asked again.
"Why are you asking me that kind of question?" Serenity asked curiously because until now she's still confused why Desiree asked her that kind of question.
"Well...You look like a goddess."
"So your name's like a moon..." Zephyr said.
"Ah...I think so?"
"Okay, I understand now why you're always leaving every night just to be here." Desiree teases Zephyr.
"Okay, I'm leaving now take care." And then Desiree left smiling.
___
"She really does look like a goddess..." Desiree whispered.
"What if she is?" Desiree stopped walking and smiled when she remembered Serenity's smiling face while some of the strands of her hair flew as the wind passed by and the pearl on her necklace glowing.
"Woah I really think she's a goddess, she just got amnesia and forgot that she's one." Desiree laughed at her own craziness, thinking about Serenity all night long.
__
Serenity ate some Nava to get rid of her nervousness while looking at Desiree walking away.
"You alright? Sorry about Desiree. I hope you understand, she's always like that." Zephyr said.
"It's fine." She replied.
They sat on the shore and Zephyr continued the story. "The moon whispered to the sun one of those nights," Go," her voice as sweet and sorrowful as the last light of morning.
Go and let me breathe, for you and I have decided fates. You illuminate the day, and I cast a glow on the night. Our connection would go against what all the people believe, all they know "
During the summer the sun would stay a little longer just in case the moon would change her mind. But it was no use—." Zephyr's words were cut off.
"SERENITY!" Calypso's shouting Serenity's name. He's worried that something bad had happened to her.
"Bye, I'm leaving next time again." Serenity ran in the other direction because she didn't want to be seen running into the ocean. Zephyr might get curious, so she'll just wait for him to leave first.
Even though Zephyr's far away from Serenity, she can still hear what Zephyr's saying. "Serenity..."
Serenity looked at the Navas Zephyr was putting in the bag.
'It's a pity I didn't bring even one.'
"I guess you really like Nava after all..." He said.
'I would have given some Nava to Calypso for him to taste human food. Maybe he might like it too.'
'He used to be human, wasn't he? Maybe he already tasted it.'
Zephyr already left and Serenity decided to come out where she's hiding. Serenity was so shocked because Zephyr left some 3 Navas for her.
"He probably left it." She took the 3 Navas. She'll just eat it and then she'll give some to Calypso.
"Calypso..." She peeked behind the big rock that's always her hideout.
They were both surprised that it ended up making her slip and then she got soaked again with the ocean water.
"Why aren't you talking? You know, you surprised me," she angrily told him.
Serenity remembered that Zephyr put a towel on her back when they also got soaked with the ocean water earlier. She sat down on the rock and placed the towel next to her.
"You want some?" She offered Calypso some Nava.
"What's that?" He asked.
"Nava, human's food, it tastes so good." Calypso took one and ate it.
"It doesn't taste anything," Calypso said.
'Oh I forgot, sirens don't taste anything and don't feel hunger.'
'How can I be a siren again?'
"How are you going to be a siren again?" Calypso asked.
"That's also my problem, I don't know how." Serenity replied.
"What did you do to be a human?" Serenity thought about his question.
"I don't know either..."
"Do you remember anything you said or you did?" She took some Nava and ate it while thinking.
"Ish wemeshbersh shometwing Ish shaid..."
(I remember something I said...)
"Finish your meal first, I don't understand what you're saying." He authoritatively said.
After Serenity swallowed what she was chewing, she told him what she remembers. "I remember that when the pearl stopped glowing itself, I compared it to the moon and then I said—." Suddenly she stood up because of what she remembered.
Serenity almost hit her head on the rock but fortunately, Calypso pulled her hand down and that made her sit down in the water.
'I didn't realize earlier that the ocean water was really so cold. I'm not really used to being human yet.'
"I haven't even dried this dress and then it's wet again." Serenity complains.
"Because you're not being careful." He said.
'Of course, it's my fault.'
"What did you remember that made you stand up suddenly?" He asked.
"I said to the pearl that it was my dream that I wanted to have legs and be human." Serenity said.
"That's it! Tell the pearl that you want to go back to being a siren again." He says.
"Follow me for a moment..." She said.
"Why?" He asked as he looked at Serenity standing up.
"I don't need this dress when I turn into a siren again..." Serenity pointed at what she was wearing. She took her leftover Nava.
'I'll hide it too because I can't take it in the water, it will be soaked.'
"So we'll just put this thing there where no one can see it. I can also transform into a human being there tomorrow and wear this dress again, I'm sure it'll be dry by tomorrow." Serenity pointed to where she hid earlier when she's waiting for Zephyr to leave.
"All right all right, you go first I'll follow you." He said as he spun around the water.
Serenity started walking as Calypso followed her as he swam in the water. She took off the dress that she's wearing and put it on the big rock. Serenity felt a tingling sensation when a wave of water touched her feet. She went to the ocean and endured the cold water.
"Go on." She looked at Calypso and nodded.
Serenity held my pearl in the necklace. "I want to be a siren again, pearl." She looked at her feet to see if they had changed, but nothing happened.
"Try again," Calypso said.
She touched the pearl again and closed her eyes. Serenity takes a deep breath and says, "I want to be a siren again."
"S-serenity." She opened her eyes because of Calypso.
"W-woah." The pearl is glowing and so is Serenity. It is glowing brightly from within. Serenity's glowing blue eyes stared at Calypso. Her glowing legs slowly turning to her original tails.
Her eyes widened when she witnessed what was happening to her and she immediately swam when she saw that her legs turned into a tail again.
"Woah I still can't believe it..." Calypso said in amazement. Calypso and Serenity swam back to Anthemoesia. Serenity wanted to meet that woman and thank her for giving her pearl because of her, Serenity's dream came true.
