After the Crisis Talks

A door-shaped jade portal had emerged on the Gunvalian diner room and it revealed Jakon who quickly walked out from the portal in an unamused expression. As the portal disappeared, The Golden Distrunian sense of smell picked up a delightful, baked aroma that lured him out to the whereabouts.

Hence, Jakon stopped his moving phase when he gazed down a single brownish, square baked bread that laid down on top of a polished, pitch-black plate, right on the circular table. The daintiness of the bread succumbed to The Golden Distrunian taking it as one of the clutching hands went down.

However, his steady sense sparked up within Jakon's widened eyes and delayed the sluggish progress of the clutching hand as he felt there was someone familiar on the spot. The Golden Distrunian reluctantly hovered his sturdy head and noticed Hollow who sat on the chair across in a blankness.

It was similar to a motionless mannequin who was placed right on top of the chair as Jakon tilted his head in curiosity. But, the observing section for The Golden Distrunian failed in the initiation project as Hollow smoothly glanced to the left with an undead-like stare.

"Hey Hollow, can I take this piece of bread or is it for me?" Jason asked in a rousing tone.

The White Assassin only replied with a nod of silence towards Jakon who immediately latched on to the available seat in front of the baked bread and quickly grabbed the desirable thing. Afterward, the whole bread dropped down into the depth of Jason's mouth and he swallowed it as if it was a capsule.

Not even a chewing process occurs through Jakon after the sandwich had fallen down deeply through his stomach and shocking oddness emerged within Hollow's stare. Moreover, The White Assassin just shook his head in confusion with the golden friend who literally didn't bite a tiny piece of the bread.

"By the way, apologies for asking this, were you born mute?" Jakon started to declare a first line of conversation with a question and Hollow shook his head in refusal demeanor.

"Or you chose yourself to be….mute? Jakon let out another guess in an intriguing tone by pointing the sharp Goldfinger at The White Assassin. Hollow took notice of the pointed finger and surely nodded his head that raised an amazed eyes through The Golden Distrunian.

Afterward, Jakon gloriously laughed out loud echoed through the whole desolate room with every interior covered by a tough metal with jaded green lines. As the laughter presumed, The White Assassin shiveringly shook his head due to The Golden Distrunian was now like a shockwave and raised the trembling white hand near his cheeks.

Luckily, the thundershock laughter was stopped with Jakon clearing his throat in a single jolly chuckle. Then, The Golden Distrunian glared at Hollow with a spark of excitement enlightened through his mind.

"I can conclude that you are one straightforward human." Jakon spoke, "Your life goal is just murder and murder which is for me it's quite exciting to hear that."

"Anyway, when Gunvalian blow up this planet, do you want to become a space bounty hunter in order to continue your life goal?"

In a quick response, Hollow shrugged off and caused The Golden Distrunian to chortle. Either the silent way of answering or The White Assassin's rock-solid ignorance of facing this possible outcome, Jakon blew a sigh of admiration towards his new friend who remained motionless sitting like a statue.

"You truly are a passionate bounty hunter or an assassin." Jakon spoke in a gleeful tone, "Anyway, are you still pissed about your loss against the Chemistry girl."

The White Assassin upheld his thumb in front of the white neck and harmlessly slit his throat in deep, fiery anger, marking Chemistra death would soon fall to his hand when they met once again. An impressed giggle came out from the intriguing Jakon and steadily watched Hollow hoisting his knuckle that engulfed blue and white energy in the blink of an eye.

"I see and is it because of her enhanced durability that failed your bounty mission?" Jakon asked in an intriguing tone.

The White Assassin surely nodded without any hesitation holding him back and Jakon blew a chilling whistle for lightening up the silence, yet a wrathful atmosphere remained polluting the diner room. Nonetheless, The Golden Distrunian's steady sight still could grasp a sense of gratefulness for having a good time with his silent friend,

"Well, well, I guess you become irritated whenever your bounty mission fails." Jakon reluctantly guessed.

The yellowish afternoon sky gleamed the drying light throughout the Masafumi high school's rooftop which was now occupied by the crowd of high schoolers who wanted to spend their break time with lunch. Noises, laughing, and even taunting were all present to enliven the rooftop.

One of those noisemakers was the group of three students who took a seat at the very edge-right. It consisted of Hina and Naoki who filled their own seats and Yuna who was in front of them and had an empty seat beside her left. They were joyfully laughing with one another, especially with the muscular student.

"Yeah, I still remembered Satoru literally talking about some weird theory that the recent villain had some kind of secret brother cliche-shit. It made me actually...happy when I am stuck in that humid room ." Naoki bickered, "I wish he didn't have that group work because he would have presented all his weird, Superhero theory to us."

"Yeah, such unfortunate for that nerd boy." Hina spoke in a relaxed demeanor, "But if he was here, I would love to hear that story to relieve my stress."

"The stress of finishing the goddamn Gradient bullshit!!" Hina added in a vexation demeanor.

"Ah yeah, I fucking hate Gradient too, Hina!!" Naoki reluctantly agreed before a boiling complaint took the center stage, "It only just makes me stress, especially on understanding the logic of it and plus, why the heck we got a test today. I mean come Monday we just had an emergency evacuation and Yesterday suppose the time to cool off our minds, not freaking studying for the test!!!"

As the heating bickered heated the supposed relaxing lunchtime, Yuna sheepishly giggled with a charming smile that attracted both Hina and Naoki's eyes. Moreover, they pondered their friend's reaction, while the pink jacket girl took a bite on a single piece of Karage from the clutch of a black chopstick.

"Gradient for me is the easiest one." Yuna uttered in a soft voice, "You only need further observation with the line that the question asked?"

"Easy for you to say that." Hina argued after she chew the pieces of her Karage, "Heck even your boyfriend still asking you a lot about that!"

"Yeah, Hatoshi may have some difficulty too. But in the end, he truly understood the logic when I taught him how to solve the problem step by step on Yesterday."

With the girl's conversation presumed quite intensely as Hina kept throwing arguments, Naoki slowly boiled to red with shame, especially on the crush that was right in front of him. Moreover, the muscular boy gritted his teeth in an envious demeanor and sweat dripped onto his forehead as the image of Yuna and Hatoshi kissing invaded his mind.

Yuna started to notice the muscular boy with his face going steaming red and Naoki dodged her suspicion in a form of a reluctant chuckled. Even Hina inspected her muscular friend who had his face become redder than before, similar to a strawberry.

"Hey Simp Boy, yes Yuna technically is already in a romantic relationship with Hatoshi." Hina explained in a taunting tone, "So the chance of you having her is…..zero."

"Ah..come on, Hina, you bitch!!!" Naoki yelled in a humiliating demeanor as his face boiled harder, "Why did you have to tell it in front of her!!?"

"Because it's better to tell that kind of problem, right in front of her, Simp."

"But, it's still not the right way to….tell her...like this."

For now, Naoki was not only boiled down by an embracement due to having a deep romantic feeling with Yuna, but he also fell down into irritating anger especially when he glanced at Hina. While The pink jacket girl tauntingly caused her lips and giggled with the muscular friend who grunted in impatience.

Unbeknownst to them, Hatoshi was already standing behind the upcoming burning argument that was going to be let out by both Hina and Naoki. His face even frowned in confusion with this unexpected welcome of his lunch group. Nonetheless, the schoolboy calmly patted the pink hair shoulder that caused her body to shockingly shivered through her spine.

Hina immediately turned back and widened her surprised eyes towards Hatoshi who tilted his head with a relaxing smile painted onto his face. With her close partner appearing in front of her eyes, Yuna sheepishly giggled which caught his attention in less than a second before he switched his attention to the pink jacket friend.

"Hina, I think it's enough." Hatoshi politely advised before he glanced at Naoki, "Naoki is about to burst out in anger and it's not good for that to happen in our lunchtime, right?"

"Yeah, it's not good to humiliate me like that, you bitch." Naoki bittered in a sour tone.

At last, Hina grunted in defeat and chillingly closed her eyes as Hatoshi entered his seat that had been safely guarded by Yuna. Naoki began to grasp a glimpse of gratefulness with his fellow friend's presence as the steamy red face reverted into the creamy one in an instant. Furthermore, the muscular student happily chortled due to his face being no longer overwhelmed by the steaming red of embarrassment.

"By the way, thank you for your help calming this situation….Hatoshi." Naoki thanked Hatoshi who recently occupied the seat.

"You're welcome, Naoki." Hatoshi replied in a carefree demeanor before he engaged a question towards the muscular student, "Anyway, is Satoru still busy with his group work?"

"Yeah, his accounting group mates are quite hard to manage," Naoki explained in a little spark of uncertainty.

"Isn't it kind of obvious, I meant most of his group members are literally a bunch of lazy ass students" Hina bittered, "Shino, Tora, and of course the laziest of all, Murata."

Hatoshi could only sigh while capturing those three names of those students within his mind in a pondering demeanor. Afterward, shining hopeful thoughts embarked through his thoughts as he glanced at the two of his friends Hina and Naoki with an accompanying smile. The schoolboy was surely ready to share it with the lunch group members.

"Let's just hope that Satoru will be fine with his group work and get an A for his hard work," Hatoshi spoke in a rosy tone.

"Yup, I believe that Superhero Fanboy can handle those lazy ass boys with no problem." Hina smoothly bickered before she changed the topic of discussion with a question, "Besides, how's your drawing internship with Tsuko. Did it go well and if so….."

"How much money did you get?" Hina winked in enthralled demeanor.

Naoki immediately groaned in annoyance towards Hina who just only picked money as a center point of her question. While Hatoshi relaxingly chuckled and rubbed his head to grasp the right answer.

"Well let's start with experience first." Hatoshi opened his prelude, "So far, I do enjoy working with Tsuko. He was nice and a very straightforward person, especially the way he explained the points to improve were crystal clear.

"When it comes to the payment, he was also pretty fair and he even gave me an extra." Hatoshi added in a gladful tone, ``Hence, I want to work with him again, someday."

An impressed, yet shocking face clouded through Naoki with his jaw dropped and Yuna tilted her head with a cheerful smile towards her close partner. While Hina only twitched her eyes in confusion before she finally admittingly giggled at her friend's statement.

"Hatoshi, I am very grateful to hear this news." Yuna mumbled with sheepish glassy eyes, "Not only did your internship go well, you also made a good friendship with new people too."

Then, Hatoshi gently closed his eyes before he uttered, "I am glad to hear that from you, Yuna."

Afterward, both of the partners giggled towards each other as Yuna suddenly wrapped his arm and joyfully hummed when her soft touch contacted Hatoshi's. At first, the schoolboy raised his eyebrows in a little bit of shock, but soothing comfort from his close partner's touch made him aroused in gladness.

As for Naoki, the deep, envious grit soon appeared again and he sluggishly threw away that look to the right and Hina rubbed her chin in a little bit of displeasure onto the two of them. Moreover, the pink jacket girl's mind began to open one of the memories about the time she spent with Yuna.

A memory from the past when she and Yuna were in the evacuation room when her friend remained calm even though her boyfriend wasn't present on her side. Bothersome clouded Hina's judgment towards Hatoshi who was still calmed after he left his girlfriend and worse there was no news received from both of them when the evacuation process was still ongoing.

Hina furrowed her eyes, "Alright Hatoshi, I have a question about you Yesterday. "Where were you when the evacuation day happened?"

A brief pause emerged and washed away Hatoshi's gleeful expression, replaced by gloomy eyes that went down. Yuna's concerned gaze was locked right at her close partner who tried to find a suitable counterpoint. Luckily, a sigh of relief resided through the lunch party as Hatoshi lifted up his head with a sure look.

"I was in another evacuation room and I am...sorry that my phone was out of battery when the evacuation happened," Hatoshi spoke with an uneasy tone.

"Okay….have you apologized to Yuna yet about that problem?" Hina asked in an irritating tone.

"I-----di." Hatoshi couldn't finish his sentence when Yuna interfered with her in a soft, yet charming voice towards Hina, "Yeah he did apologize about that Hina. Besides, let's talk about another fun topic before the bell rings."

A surprise, yet relieving glare from Hatoshi was locked onto Yuna who prevented Hina to expose more about the incident of him leaving her. Moreover, the pink jacket girl submitted her defeat of furthering the conversation with a sigh and Naoki rolled his eyes in annoyance, especially onto his pink jacket friend.

Therefore, the high schoolers presumed their lunchtime conversation with another new topic that created a mild calmness through the members especially with Hatoshi who regained his smile once more.
